The thing is, if they really are being influenced by Miller's TDKR, then that's precisely why Brolin is an ideal choice. The Batman depicted in that story is no longer the young and suave Bruce Wayne we're used to seeing in mainstream comics.

Michael Trucco. Decent actor, looks a bit like Bale (dare I say it, more dashing) and has a good voice. When brought up for Superman years ago, I always thought he was a better fit for Batman.

Thanks, thought I'd throw out a new suggestion here. He is decent, not a Bale though. But... who is? I've seen him in a couple things like V and Battlestar Galactica and thought he was pretty good.

Expected this response. Just saying, based on looks and some things I've seen him in he could work. Not saying there is a chance in hell they even look at him.

Yea I don't get the sudden infatuation with Brolin. Hamm would be great as a seasoned Batman and would nail all the facets of Bruce Wayne's identity. I think Urban is probably my next favorite for an older Batman. I'm watching Stoker right now, and I'm actually kind of warming up to Matthew Goode if they go for an actor closer to Cavill's age. Jake Gylenhaal is my other choice if they go that route. When do you guys expect we will get an announcement???
