Damn, Sawyer! You just unleashed a darkness that I thought you only reserved for the likes of Chuck Lorre & Co. :wow:

How Batman should look like:

I want a scene in the new movie where batman peels off his bat symbol a la new 52. That would be awesome ! :o

I doubt that Prince of Persia would be the reason for him not getting it. That'd be like saying back in the day that Bale wouldn't get the role because of Reign of Fire and Equilibrium.

Well, what else would you expect from a man with a Walter White avatar. :oldrazz:

I doubt Gyllenhaal gets it after Prince of Persia.

Hey, you never know. Goyer seemed to like something about him for Batman Begins, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Why on earth would Prince of Persia stop him getting it?

Bomer or Hoechlin would suck. Manganiello for 30s Batman

That's like choosing flaying over immolation. Both would be terrible. Given the choice, however, I would rather have Batman depicted as an elf than an ogre. Joe M________o is, for me, the worst "genuine" suggestion in this discussion so far.

Question of subjectivity?

Some people have found Henry was gay in MOS.
I don't if it's jealousy or because of his suit...but Henry himself said in an interview the first time he was in the suit, he felt like gay...

Actually with Nolan's suit, the Bat doubtlessly looks more manly than Superman...

But when he jumps "like a bat", I find that beautiful and weird at the same time..

As Bruce Wayne, since Clark uses to be the shy guy, I don't think it would be so hard to see a self-confident Bruce Wayne near him...

Actually Matt Bomer already looks self-confident, at least as Neal Caffrey.
I would say he's even too proud of himself in this tv show...

(but it depends on what you call "masculinity". I don't remember seeing WC and thinking Matt was gay...he acts like a heterosexual...and with his face... Yeah, I would say he seems masculine to me. But since everybody know he's gay, I think it disturbs their judgement about him...)

It has nothing to do with him being gay. Phrenology is a pseudo-science: people do not wear their sexuality in their cranial dimensions. The fact that Bomer is gay is simply a distraction from the fact that he looks extremely soft, feminine, and immature. His sexuality prevents people from feeling able to express why he is wrong for the role, because they are afraid of seeming homophobic. The two issues are completely separate, however; he would still be totally wrong for the role if he was straight, because his petite, elfin, Peter Pan looks simply belong to a different type of character.

By comparison, Luke Evans is gay but could easily play Batman, because he has a certain presence and looks relatively tough and masculine. Di Caprio is straight but could not play Batman because he looks like a spoiled toddler with a fat face.

I thought you stopped the pointless line thing.

This whole time I thought he was just quoting people without saying anything since that line usually indicates a poster's signature and I rarely look down there. :funny:

God....if you're reading my post. ...Please let them cast Batman REALLY soon. Thank you.

Armitage looks straight up evil. He's almost ready to be the Joker, just slap some make up on him. I see no Bruce Wayne in him whatsoever.

This post is so full of hilarious win. I am literally crying with laughter over that Leo slam, it's so mean.

Oh, let me also add, that apart from Bentley, I'd be down for Matthew Goode, too. He looks insettling (like Wes), but it would be a Keaton-esque casting.

has anyone been seeing the news story on some sites about Snyder approaching Jeffery Dean Morgan about the role?

true or not, what are your thoughts on him being a possible candidate as THE BATMAN?

If they go with a younger Batman. I wouldn't be against Jensen Ackles. Now, if you would have asked me a few years ago. I would have said no. But, the guy has grown as an actor and portrayed some serious emotional damage on the show.

I do like that unsettling quality about him and that he is charismatic on screen. It's why I brought him up.

Jensen's terrible in anything outside Supernatural, though, as much as I enjoy his Dean.

And I can't see Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It's distracting that he reminds me of a poor man's Javier Bardem.

Yes, exactly. He's the only reason I didn't walk out of Stoker. And that's a mythical feat.

Liev Schreiber would make a bad@ss older Batman. He's got the dark thing down on Ray Donovan. Strong jaw line too.

Liev can be any god damn superhero he wants. He's awesome and beyond talented.

I thought Jeffery Dean Morgan was terrific in Watchmen. Personally I like him and wish he was in more half way decent stuff. At this moment I'm unsure about him as Batman though but I'm unsure about nearly everyone.

I really liked him in Watchmen and in Supernatural, but he's lacking presence in anything else I've seen him in. I don't think he can do it.

I was expecting that someone will add Jeffery Dean Morgan's name to the list of wannabe Batmans, what's next ? Gerard Butler ?

:hehe:
