In the comics Bruce doesn't invent his own stuff. Fox is in the books and Wayne has his company make stuff as well. You can do anything you want in the comics, you can have a suit that is impervious to all things somehow and it feels real because the art is good. My problem is Batman next to the MOS Superman looking like the comic book or George Clooney. And yes, Batman is about stealth; but he has been shot, stabbed, set on fire, beat up and defeated. People respond to what feels right, let it be comics or movies. The majority of audience goers (mainstream people) will laugh at a Bat suit straight out of the books.

It depends on which comics you're referring to. Sure, they wouldn't be keen on the classic look, but there have been quite a few versions in recent years featuring a more updated and modern design. The suits depicted in the Arkham games serve as a pretty good example. Although unique to the aforementioned classic design in some ways, they don't deviate too much from the original concept; and more importantly, they look great.

Ill have to disagree with this. I felt it was very natural for what a father would say to his son if something ridiculous like that was happening. They weren't random conversations they were practically sit down moments or lectures/lessons that a father and son would have.

Yeah, that scene was fine.

Batsuit, batmobile, gadgets, etc. One of the things I always liked about Wayne was that, sans his incredible fortune, he's just about a completely self made man.

Fox is in the books and Wayne has his company make stuff as well.

True, and Fox is there, but it's not nearly to the extent his importance is in the Nolan films. He's practically Q to Bale's Batman in the Nolan films.

I just want him to look more like Batman than Nolan's Batman did. Not asking for a completely comic look. (also hope the chainmail is toned down just a little on Superman's suit in the sequel kind of, although I liked the MOS suit for the most part)

This is amongst the best I could find. I like it, it's pretty good. But people see spandex and wonder how far behind the other kids entertainers are.

That has to be one of the worst examples I could find, it looks like exactly what it is - a cosplay. A big budget version of the black and gray batsuit would be awesome.

This pic isn't bad (I'd get rid of the light up eyes though):

And as far as tights are concerned:

But if we get something like this, this is really all I want, with maybe a bigger bat sign that looks more like the Begins logo, I think this would be fantastic:

I wouldn't complain if Batman looked like that. ^^

Batman should be visualy striking....manicing,mysterious.They lost me after burton.

and burton new how to project that

Really?? I can post PLENTY of pics that show Nolan's Batman as menacing and mysterious. This Begins pic for example has more of that than the Keaton one you posted.

TBH...I didn't like TDK suit. ..don't kill me!

No one's gonna kill you. Smith pretty much detailed what was wrong with it in one of his prior posts; and he's correct.

Thats just a greyer version of the TDK suit. And that pic is one of the better lit ones. They could film him in shadows but, I bet they have more day scenes.

Even if he were not playing Magneto , fassbender still Has the Assassins Creed film . I believe it has a june 2015 release date .

I would not be surprised if this film, at the end of the day,is never done.
The film has no director yet, nor cast except Fassbender.
Everything can happen!
Plus, if he starts filming AC only in the second half of 2014, he will have time.

Why young partisan are flipping like this? Batman and Superman need to be protect, Batman is a money maker and Superman too DC don't gone scrap those character. There a lot more adventure to do with Batman and Superman, Batman have a lot more villains to fight. Let's not repeat the Joel Schumacher films mistakes, Batman is a too realistic character. Young partisan you want a Batman mixed with every else justice League members that kind of approach will compromise next Batman films, mixing Batman stupidly like this will make Batman solo films looks like Joel Schumacher crap Batman deserve more than crappy films, mostly after the Nolan films. I can't imagine the return of Joel Schumacher crap films after the greatly acclaimed Nolan films. The old Batman is the only way it will help the audience connect with DC universe. People will understand that approach and an older actor will appease the audience like a father figure. Young partisan be positif be optimistic stop looking behind, look ahead and stop complain please,IMO.

I have to agree, that looks much better than any shot of Nolan's Batman that close.

This is a cool shot, but it's only because it's a silhouette and further away that it reminds me of Neal Adams' Batman/"classic (the REAL :o ) Batman:

There was even a really cool poster of Wayne holding the cowl that I liked for Begins, but other than that I disliked the "brown" look for that movie. I prefer Batman to have a blue-ish hue to him because it's reminiscent of the comics and cartoons. Both Burton films had this for Batman and even TDK did in some shots, it certainly did in a few of the posters, and I liked that:

^^ Favorite shot of Batman from TDK. Perhaps it's because you can't see all of the suit there, but it's the most "Batman-ish" of them all I feel.

But I would say Burton's films on the whole, hands down, have more "glory shots" of Batman than the whole Nolan trilogy combined. Begins had the best Batman glory shots of the Nolan trilogy, and it didn't have many, IMO.

I know, but it looks less busy for some reason and the design looks better that way. Still not a fan of all the rivets and "designs" running all over him, but that looks better than what we got on film, maybe because it's patterned better, I think that is why it looks more like Batman to me.

(I still want a cape that matches the cowl closer though)

Tim Burton's movies are particular.
They're dark.
That's perfect for a character like Batman.

In Nolan's film trilogy, Batman always looked better in promo shots than in the actual film itself: I think it's time for a suit that looks visually appealing on the big screen.

Suspension of disbelief need to be use by WB to introduce character like Wonder Woman and Aquaman. They can introduce Green arrow in the next sequel till the beginning. They can introduce Captain Marvel in the beginning too with the villains Black Adams. After this they should proceed with a flash movie and a green Lantern movie, bingo we have the Justice League.

Yes for Begins. From the "making of" DVD, Bale convinced Nolan to do more close-ups of the character. I felt that Batman himself had a somewhat bigger than life quality in Begins, but not so much in the sequel.

It's not racial. (I'm sure even themselves know it, c'mon!)
I actually like asian people. I find them beautiful.
But I'm not blind. I notice their eyes look effeminate.
As I notice black people have generally a big nose.
It's not racial, it's a fact.
I'm not sure whether English is not your second language, or whether you are just a troll poster who has long ceased to be amusing, but in either case you should just stay off this subject.

Same goes for the ears. At that length they will bump into door jams, window panes and whatever else.

Oh, please. We are passed the era of "everything must look bland and ugly to fit some erroneous concept of realism".

Matt, again:

You have managed to really play up everything unappealing about both the actor and that hideous suit.

Nolan had his fair share for me.

None of those shots exist in any of the movies. They are just posed for promotional purposes, and are intended to emulate the "iconic". The fact they really struggle so badly tells us a lot about those ugly costumes.

LOL, if I hear Bomer one more time I'll lose it.

On this we agree.

I have more than enough faith that Snyder will give us plenty of iconic shots of Batman, that's the mans specialty.

I was always disappointed that they never used the shots of him standing on top of a police car in the film.

Since this is Zack Snyder, I'm pretty sure this suit will at least have a very dark shade of gray. Something like NightOwl's suit but black and gray seems likely.
I'd really like to see something like his suit from Young Justice.

I'm still liking Luke Evans or Karl Urban for the role.

Say what you will about Burton's batman, but this was awesome, and Burton's Batman, Keaton, was the only guy who could smile in the batsuit and still look intimidating. Everyone else just looked silly, IMO:

I love this scene, and I did not question it one bit as a kid (still don't, even though some have criticized it, I think it works great):

I ****ing love this scene. There's not one scene in the Nolan trilogy as epic as this to me:

Btmn_0599.jpg

I can honestly say that if it were not for the 89 film I would not have gotten into Batman as much as I did. That made me a fan and like the character, and Batman:TAS made him my favorite character in my teens.

Burton's Gotham remains my favorite to this day, it's exactly as I envisioned it being from the comics, dirty yet grand in its own way:

And his batmobile is STILL the best in any medium ever, bar none:

Agreed and agreed, on all points.
