Say what you will about Burton's batman, but this was awesome, and Burton's Batman, Keaton, was the only guy who could smile in the batsuit and still look intimidating. Everyone else just looked silly, IMO:

I love this scene, and I did not question it one bit as a kid (still don't, even though some have criticized it, I think it works great):

I ****ing love this scene. There's not one scene in the Nolan trilogy as epic as this to me:

I can honestly say that if it were not for the 89 film I would not have gotten into Batman as much as I did. That made me a fan and like the character, and Batman:TAS made him my favorite character in my teens.

Burton's Gotham remains my favorite to this day, it's exactly as I envisioned it being from the comics, dirty yet grand in its own way:

And his batmobile is STILL the best in any medium ever, bar none:

The thing I loved the most about this suit was how heavy the the brow on the cowl was. It cast a shadow over his eyes, giving him a dark eyed look. Which, I think looks fantastic and a preferably look for live action as opposed to the faux white eye look.

Jon Hamm. Joe Manganiello. Josh Brolin. Anson Mount.

I'm not the one here who think it's becoming the costume thread.

I will have a new choice if I feel someone could portray better Bruce. That's not the case."-Meluka

It is kind of becoming towards the art direction/costuming thread.

However, BATMAN is closer to who Bruce is on the inside than his playboy persona. I'd be FINE with an actor who does a bit better at the former than the latter.

Joe Manganiello is wrong for the role. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong...wrong.

Problem with Jeffrey Dean morgan is that he would be like the poor persons Hamm/Brolin, if he were to get the gig.

i know that sounds mean but why not just get Hamm or Brolin (unless they said no)

Which reasons push you to support Joe over Bomer?? O_o

I'm Maluka.

When it's superman, I understand Clark is just a mask. Because superman is indeed an alien with superpowers. I would say only Kal-El is his true face.

But Batman... Bruce Wayne is Bruce Wayne. He wears a suit and fights against the crime as a job, like a policeman. But I won't say Bruce Wayne is just a persona.
If "Batman" quits, there's still Bruce Wayne.

I always thought the Returns suit was better, the cowl looked best in that from any of the Bat films.

I think he can convincingly play a badass like Batman. He has the voice, the looks the physique, and I personally think hes a solid actor on True Blood.

Matt Bomer looks like hes never been in a fight

It comforts me knowing that Bomer won't get the role

Joe M is a TV actor at best, I watch True Blood and I think any actor with a good physique could pull off Joe's character on True Blood.

Every solid actor isn't right for Batman though. I was one of the few who wasn't completely hating on him when he was up for Kal El. I thought, not my favorite choice but he could do a good job. It has nothing to do with hate, I just don't see Batman in him, sorry.

I could see Joe as Batman in a lighter, campy incarnation. Not a serious one. That's me being as generous as I can...and probably too generous.

Honest to God just get Bale back. ..I'm getting nauseous reading all these casting suggestions and rumours

How can you know that?

Joe has the voice that Batman should have only when he wears the suit.

And I'm sorry, but some other actors on the list look like they've never been in a fight too...

Me too.

I don't even like Bale as Wayne/Batman as much as the fanboys and even I would be happy to have him back. I guess he grew on me and I'm used to him.
