he's definitely got the Bruce Wayne look but i don't know if he can play Batman. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt if it does goes through though.

I like to think of myself as fairly open minded when it comes to who's cast as the next Batman...but I have to say, Orlando Bloom does absolutely nothing to excite me in any way.

He has no reason or means to. We're can't be sure if this rumour is real or not.

I think it's best we go into this with an open mind, just in case.

Bloom just might come through, if it's true. But I'm 99.9% sure it isn't.

The guy is just too skinny/pretty boy for me. There's only so much a guy with his body type could bulk up. This rumor is making me scratch my head because regardless of him being 36, it runs completely contrary to the rumor of them wanting an older Batman. He can still play mid 20s easily.

So this got me to think of looking up Batman Begins contenders and I found this:

So I guess we could even expect some of these actors to get a call back from WB. From this list, I like Eion Bailey (37 years old, 6'0).

Actually. I don't even think they've started yet.

They have started I think. Scott Adkins jumped the gun and posted that he had auditioned but subsequently had to delete the tweet.

And they better have started seeing how this is filming Feb-March next year and the actor cast would have to start training at the earliest.

I'm sure WB casting directors and Zack Snyder himself wakes up every morning and thinks WHO WILL BE THE NEXT BATMAN? WHO WILL BRING IN THE MOST MONEY? more than we all do.

The selection process is probably happening right now. So that they can start writing the script to suit the actor, rather than completing the script first. That would be my guess.

Let's just hope that one of them reads these boards, so they can make the best casting decision based on everyone's input too.
