Batman discussion thread.

That's a pretty awesome premise for Batman # 666, I'll definitely be anxiously awaiting that mutha fooka.

I doubt it is mere coincidence that Morrison's run just happens to take place when the book reaches issue #666.

That issue sounds all kinds of awesome.

Since it also says "The Son of the Bat meets the Prince of Darkness" My guess is it's Damian.

Prince of Darkness could be Damian. Son of the Bat could be Tim. Bruce adopted Tim.

Did you read the whole description? It also says "Meet Damian Wayne the Batman of Tomorrow." And since DC is going all Kingdom Come on us, Son of the Bat is the translation of Ibn al Xu'ffasch, Damian's counterpart in Kingdom Come. So it's probably not Tim. Maybe one of the repercussions of the "Titans of Tomorrow" storyline is that Tim will absolutely not become Batman.

If you flip the pages backwards real fast you can see his face in the background all red and flaming.

His name is Ibn al Xu'ffasch and as far as I'm concerned him and Damian are different people.

Mainly because Damian is such a boring and default name.

They are different people. Far be it for me to question the mighty Morrison, but I can't figure out why he decided to call the kid Damian, when Ibn al Xu'ffasch seems to fit so much better with the whole concept of Talia and Bruce's son being raised by Ra's and the League of Assassins.

Because Ibn al Xu'ffasch is weird and no one knows how to pronounce it.

Yeah. I'm still fuzzy on Ra's al Ghul. There was an accent mark over the 'a' in Ra's when he first appeared, then later it disappeared.

I pronounce it like they pronounced in BB. Always did.

Denny O'Neil, however, pronounces it "Raysh".

I forget which one is actually the proper pronunciation in Arabic.

That's the way I say it too. Wasn't it pronounced "Raysh" in the animated series?

Yeah it was.

Roz is the girl from Frasier.:down

NOthing. :( Just gonna shove a number of Rob Leifeld comics up your arse.

Remember that episode when Roz tried to kill Frasier and 8 billion other people to cleanse the world? That was a good show.

I think the whole point of the ending in Batman Year 100 is that it's up to the reader to decipher who is exactly The Batman. If you wanted it to be a Bruce Wayne who will live on forever, than cool. If you want it to be Bruce's son or descendant. Than so be it. It's all subjective and a solid way to end a kick ass miniseries.

Pope and Wagner should team up or something. :o

maybe. it was a good story anyway.

pope and wagner are definitely two of the more interesting writers to take on batman recently.
