Batman discussion thread.

Batman willingly left gotham for a year[to pretty much explore his past] and left Harvey freaking Dent as its "protector":o None the less Superman has had kids in elseworlds stories, all Singar did was add a kid himself. I didn't like the movie,But Damian Head was thousand[1 thousand!] times more annoying then Jason White.

the only thing more annoying then jason white is when they cut pizza into squares instead of triangles... then after the pizza thing is the wiggles. then the disney channel, then biting your tongue, the power rangers, the macarena, anything by fergie, anything by madonna, THEN damien...

no Jason white was a reguler kid, Damian needs to burn and die.

damien may suck balls but he still pwns jason white...

An Idea or character is only as crappy as the writer makes them out to be.

well, I agree ... and I disagree. I think this idea is pretty bad : Batman having a son ??? (or Superman having a son in SR ??????).
And I think even with excellent writers, sometimes an bad idea is a bad idea.
Of course, there is subjectivity in this but I think when an idea is transformed and mutated and then retransformed to the point that at the end the only thing in common with the original idea is the name or the suit of a character, etc ... I don't talk about the same idea anymore.
And in this case specifically, I think a son for Supes or Batman is a bad idea whoever is on the book. Just for the sake of continuity for example.
Anyway. I just think it's not a good idea.

Supes having a kid is not a bad idea. And Bat's got like seven, what's one more gonna hurt.

Bats doesn't have any real "Kids", Tim had and loved his father, and so did Dick.

And he adopted them both. They're his kids now. Again, what's one more gonna hurt? Or better yet, an evil one he'll likely see on and off until he kills him in some possible future story.

You mean Jason Todd.

Its repetive, how many of kids must we have? Wildcat just found out he has a long lost kid, that chris Kent fiasco,Damian, and selina's baby. Not to mention like darthphere said, Jason Todd is alive again, why must Damian even exist?

It's b/c of that stupid "Kingdom" thing that tried to ruin Kingdom Come.

So your saying thier setting up for yet another possible future elsworlds story? Where the kids of the heores, must "unite to face a great evil".:whatever:

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

no, I just got really dizzy with this thread

is anyone else annoyed by the format of this weeks book?

yes. that isn't sequintal art. it was a short stories with shots of a video game

if i wanted to read something like that, i would pick up a magazine or newspaper... i pick up comics for the pretty pictures... i cant even bring myself to read it... ive tried like 10 times

i liked the format and enjoyed reading it, although morisson could've left the rhyming out.

So...how old are you again? 10, 11? :o

In any case, while I certainly don't prefer the format Morrison used to standard comic storytelling, I think it was very, very fitting for the type of story that takes place in the issue. I think if it was told in the traditional way, with Kubert on art, a lot of the power and moodiness of the piece would've been removed.

I'm not a fan of computer generated art in the slightest, but, at least, Van Fleet's art set the mood perfectly, and pegged exactly what Morrison was trying to do with the issue.
