Batman Forever

I believe that.

I picture him doing it by himself, after everyone left the set for the day. Then he dismissed the editor and inserted the shot by himself in the movie.

I have heard that it was not Kilmer, Clooney or O Donnell who did the bat-ass shots at all, but it was in fact Shumacher himself who wore the pants and stood in for those shots.

haha this makes me feel stupid for actually enjoying when they did the Alicia Silverstone butt shot :doh:

I had to.

I used to have BF sticker book and that same Kidman poster back in 1995 it was on my wall along with Val Kilmer as Batman.

I think this movie is single-handedly responsible for the growing movie poster market. Had so many Jim Carrey/Riddler posters not been stolen from subway stations & buses, the studios wouldn't know just how in demand these items were. Time was, you could just ask somebody who worked in the theatre or video store & they'd give it to you, no problem.

I'm really glad this scene didn't make into the final cut. If it did, I probably would have projectile vomited all over the screen.

Fixed.

That scene is so very 1966 TV show. And it makes me scratch my head everytime someone says "If deleted scenes were in BF it would be such a good Batman movie."

Yeah, I agree, the deleted scenes from BF are all best left on the floor, but...I would still like to have a cut with them all re-inserted, just to have a different cut to watch for a change now and again.

I don't recall that scene posted above on the dvd, wtf is that?

I'm glad that wasn't in the movie, Batman wouldn't rush.

I'm glad the scene of Bruce not remembering who he is wasn't in the movie. I think that giant Bat that they used was creepy as hell. Almost as if a Man Bat was on the loose.

There are a few I'd like to see reinserted into the film just to see how it would play out.
Speaking of deleted scenes.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that, but not every missing scene is as bad as that beauty salon thing IMO, at least I would've liked to see the scene were Bruce confronts the giant bat inserted into the movie, it kinda gives closure to the red diary / movie title thing, and I believe Val Kimer did a really good job in that scene too. Having the correct scenes order on the first third (or so) of the movie would've been a good thing in my book too, and starting the film with Two Face scaping Arkham as originally intended, thats the only two scenes I would re-insert.

This BF graphical novel is so much better than the movie itself. I had this and I used to take it to school with me to read lunch break. You should pick Batman: The Official Movie adaptation and it has all four movies.

For as gay as Schumacher I'm surprised he cut them out and if he didn't cut them out I'm equally surprised he didn't fight to keep them in.

I like Batman Forever but all the homosexual nods in it are extremely annoying and disheartening.

As previously stated, I just don't get the butt shots. Nipples I can understand (the whole roman armor influence) but enlarged cod pieces, butt shots and queer nods are unforgiveable.

Atleast Batman Forever isn't as bad as Batman and Robin, not by a long shot. Much darker, more serious, and complex. Only one butt shot to boot!

That's where I got the scans from. The art in Batman and Robin and Batman Begins are the only terrible comic adaptations.

The first three were fantastic though. Great books to own. It's really ashame that they didn't make one for The Dark Knight. Instead we got a crappy comic adaptation for the bank robbery scene that's just as poorly put together as the previous two.

With Batman Begins you get other Dark Knight Tales as well so it's too bad but yes B&R is just awful. TDK has a novel by Dennis O'Neil which is pretty good read in the tube.

That's true, it's a better deal. Still the Begins art isn't anything to write about. Not Batman and Robin bad but not as good as Batman Forever.

Yeah it's not bad.

Speaking of which, I think I had the Batman Forever novel when I was younger. I remember being so fascinated by it. A few things that I think I remember from it that are worth mentioning.

1.) Nygma's desire to be just like Wayne didn't just end in looks and intelligence. I think I remember the book describing that he was in a strong, mech type suit that enhanced his physical abilities or something along those lines at the end. The same white suit that he wears in the movie but obviously bulked up. I know it was DEFINITELY in the sega game I played but can't remember if I remember it from the game or if it was in the novel too.

2.) After Batman saves Robin and Chase Robin questions Two-Face inability to flip the coin on himself. Dent does so, it comes up tails and he walks right off the beam willingly.

3.) After trying repeatedly to punch the security guard, the Riddler just gives up and smashes the guards head in with his cane. Pretty ****ed up.

4.) Riddler and Two-Face get much more intelligent and start testing each other mentally as well as quoting shakespeare numerous times.

There was other stuff too. I think originally Two-Face flips his coin once, it lands on tails and he shoots Wayne in the head and leaves. Nygma comes back from destroying the Batcave and sees to his liking that Wayne isn't dead and leaves him the final riddle.

I have to back and look for that stuff again. I had all of the novels as a kid.

lol at that Two-Face line about Jim Morrison, at first I was thinking it was just a random 'stoner' type of line, but then clicked that they might've put that in because Kilmer played Morrison.

I've never been that into comicbook movie adaptations, but it is interesting to see little changes that have been made to the script by the time it gets to the actual shoot, and other little adds like that one. I read the comicbook adaptation of Blade Runner before I saw the movie as it was serialised in the UK Star Wars weekly. They used to do them for tons of action adventure movies, I read a Bond one in SW weekly too, also had the Clash of the titans cb, but they stopped doing them eh, probably because folk get illegal copies of the movies rightaway and those cb's were intended to be your way of taking the movie home with you.
