I love the Joker, seriously, when Heath as first cast I was one of the many nay-sayers, but he looks like he truly has NAILED the Joker.

However, I still have a gripe with the suit, I don't see the need to change it from the BB suit, especially not to that, it doesn't look aesthatically pleasing anymore.

here guys...better contrast...

they look much better.

because 1) they took the pictures with a fully lit, white backdrop and 2) they upped the brightness. check out my fixes to the pictures a few posts up.

Not only that, but look at the Batman Begins behind the scenes footage, the color is actually the same as it was. Especially when they show the scene where he lifts Falcone out of the car, it looked a whole lot brighter than it did in the actual film

I see a little Ceasar Romero in these pictures of the Joker..the one with the cards notably...a little.

Now what a departure we have, people were so up in arms over the Joker's look initially, now it's starting to grow on a lot of them. Now people are complaining about the suit, which although a little tech-y, once again applies to THIS FILM and what Nolan is trying to accomplish. If Batman was fighting crime, he would not be running around in gray spandex with blue capes and gloves on. I know thats what works in the comics, but noone has ever used anything like that in any of the films, so I think it works in this context. The main thing is that he can turn his head, so finally he doesnt have to move like robocop to talk to someone.

As far as the Joker though, I really feel the whole look is fantastic. He looks menacing and creepy, definitely not someone you want to run into late at night

I completely agree with this. It is quite a change that I've seen even from the short time I've been posting on the boards.

The suit is realistic. Even if it isn't the most stylistically Batman. I don't think anyone was looking for spandex, but I also think in this day and age this is like to be what we'd see.

Gosh, they actually made it work. They nailed the Joker's look!

My only complaint is that it's a little too close to Jack Nicholson. I know the comics came first, but I was hoping they would do something different than Nicholson.

the new promo shots are ****ing badass! the batsuit looks amazing, and the Joker kicks major ass!:)

If Batman was fighting crime, he wouldn't be running around in something that looked so obviously like body armor since he's supposed to be giving the impression that he's a creature and not just a man in a suit.

Still, the suit looks cool.

I don't think it looks that close to Jack. I mean, basically any Joker looks the same, green hair, red lips, purple suit, white skin...

From what I read, Heath has been very careful about not impersonating Jack in any way shape or form...

I think every batsuit looked like armor, either way, spandex or armor, you wouldn't be standing around admiring his costume in the first place.

But agreed, the suit is very cool

I aghree.

they just paid homage to the receding hairlines. :woot:

Wow. Everytime I don't come around here for awhile, something new pops up. I really like these. Not as much as the Wizard cover, but they're good in their own right and Joker is smiling in the last one.

If the cards he is holding are the exact same ones that were sent to me and Lemasaurus for rorysdeathkiss....I would faint!

I must say, I don't really see where the hate for the new Batsuit comes from. To me, it just seems like a more streamlined version of the "Begins" suit. So, if you hated the "Begins" suit, I could understand you hating this, but I don't see how you could like the "Begins" suit and hate this. It just builds on the concept laid out for the suit in "Begins", and we finally get a Batman with grace and mobility, rather than one who can't turn his head...

The ferocious creature bull**** worked in the beginning, but as Batman becomes well known (fake Batmen and pretenders), and the freaks get more brazen (the Joker obviously), its no longer necessary to prioritize aestetics over functionality and practicality.

My sentiments exactly

joker looks okay, I'm still not sold on the bat suit - it looks too techy, too ornamental - the first was so perfect in it's simplicity yet still structured - this one has too much detail. I still trust Nolan to have shot the suit in a certain way that enhances it and doesn't highlight it's imperfections.
