Batman R.I.P.

Buddy, just do yourself a favor and watch it again. Earle straight up says something about Bruce turning 30.

I know he turned 30....that wasnt in question.

The issue was when you said.
'cause the plan was that Wayne Tech would go public when Bruce turns 30.

And that wasnt the case.

There was no plan to take the company public when Bruce turned 30 because every one thought Bruce was dead after being missing for 7 years.

He was declared legally dead as part of the plan to take the company public.

I hope this settles it.

With all the talk as to how old Bruce is in the movie I just figured for permanents sake...Ya know.

Just trying to help.

OK so I went ot the shop today and since everything I wanted to buy I already copped these past 2 weeks and it was a slow week for the DC titles I buy outside of GLC and Trinity. I decided to pick Batman up after about 7 months of abandonmentwith th extra cash, so I got the first 2 parts for this arc not bad actually but I have to ask how significant are the tie-in's? should I bother with them all or am I good with just Batman? I plan on getting back into Nightwing and The Outsiders book again eventually but I'm not sure about 'tec or Robin.

I have issues 676 and 677 and it's pretty interesting so far, I liked the whole Joker freak out at the end of 676 with Robin, Commish, and Nightwing all cut to ribbons. And Alfred getting mashed up at the end of 677.

Have any other issues come out yet? I live under a rock, heh.

Nope the next Batman issue comes out this week.

The basic story is in Batman, and as far as I know that's the only title you need to buy to get the whole story. I'm guessing the tie-in's will just have references to the larger scheme of the R.I.P. story, but won't be necessary to understanding it.

Pick up Tec (because it's good) and get as far away from Robin as you can...

Really? I mean, Robin isn't outstanding, but it's still not terrible. I've picked it up just for the Spoiler stuff and the R.I.P tie ins. If anything, I'd say it is better than The Outsiders which, in my humble opinion, has been a complete and total letdown.

Thanks Kraven that's good to hear that I could just stick with one title without being lost considering previous bat events.

I heard Dixon was doing a good job on Robin but now that he's gone I suppose it's not worth it. As far as 'tec goes I dropped it because I was getting tired of Dini's style I loved his first few issues but then it grew stale. I suppose since I decided that I am dropping Trinity from the pull list I could focus 3 of the 12 bucks I am now saving again and start giving 'tec another shot though.

your right he's actually a 52 year old black man called frank you blind =#!***@@!!!!!
GOD!!!!! This is the kind of stupidity iv'e come to expect on these boards!:bh:

You know your a real AS$!!!!!!!

To begin with you can see in my post I was talking about the dialog that was spoken and not any of the scenes shown.

And if you had been intelligent enough to continue reading the post on that same page you would have read that the issue had been resolved over 6 days ago.

So not only are you a "Johnny come lately" but your far to ignorant to see how the conversation continued.

Talk about a lack of intelligence.

^ :funny:

can't wait for the new issue. I want to see what's up with the Ned Kelly guy and of course Tommy Wayne. I hope there are more bad words about his parents to come out, I want their name stomped in the mud

Actually Bats 678 goes on sale July 2nd...That's a disappointment, since it appears gotham after midnight's about the closest to a bat book this week- sorry, that first one, as much as i wanted to like it, just didn't inspire any enthusiasm for the 2nd one, and i'm itching to see what's up with that creepy actor, alfred & the return of the first batman...

shedule for july: July 2nd, get Batman RIP 678
July 9th, get Joker's Asylum
July 18, DARK KNIGHT!!!!

.... sounds pretty good to me X)

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but what the heck. Another candidate to throw in the hat as a possibility for The Black Glove.

Libra.

Morrison has talked about "Batman R.I.P." tying into "Final Crisis". Libra has shown with his treatment of Martian Manhunter that he's all about granting the "heart's desire" of the villains he's recruiting by dismantling the superheroes. And "Final Crisis #2" features a cover with Batman in dire straits. Plus, Rip Hunter's latest board seems to link Libra and Batman. Could be a possibility...

the hell is Libra?

incidentally I just found out that another villain, Prometheus, created by Grant Morrison, might be more worthwhile than he initially appeared in the War Crimes story which is the only place I've ever seen him. Anyone know if he's actually a decent bad guy? because he seems like a *****e in War Crimes however his back story and the fact he' was created by you know should be slightly interesting
