Batman & Son, Assault on Arkham announced

Two animated shorts too. :awesome::up:

Damn, WonderCon already sold out. However, I mostly wanted to go to catch the big movie panels, but I'm sure they'll have lots of crazy Batman 75 stuff (including the 2 shorts and Son of Batman).

How soon did the Superman short come out right after Comic Con?

On top of the news about a summertime release date (No doubt July around Comic-con or thereafter), we now have the official rating:

Batman: Assault on Arkham

Rated PG-13
For violence, sexual content and language.

I thought that information was already posted somewhere in this thread.

Anyone know if Batman and Son is getting an early digital release? The past few DC movies have shown up on VUDU a few weeks ahead of time, so I'm hoping it'll have this soon

I don't think I've seen a pic. You got one handy you can post?

Here you go.

I dont know why they keep giving us the tiny bird for Nightwings costume instead of adapting the costume he has had for lord knows how long now.

I was just fixing to post this exact same thing. The suit is really visually boring with such a small ass symbol.

It looks like his YJ costume, which I freaking loved.

So I was able to watch "Son of Batman" last night, and I hate to say that it is easily the worst animated film WB/DC have put out. I was rolling my eyes so hard the entire time. This is coming from a guy who enjoys "Justice League: War." Man, it was bad. I'll have to collect my thoughts so I can post a thorough review in the inevitable review thread. But holy crap I was blown away by how much I actively hated this movie while watching it, which is something that has never happened to me while watching one of the DCUAOMs.

Yeah, please do post some more details. I'm curious to see what your problems were with it.

God damn it. Where did you watch it? Is it available for digital?

My job has some certain perks. Also, I'm sure that if you know where to look, you may or may not find a less than legal way to find a copy.

Off the top of my head, the things that stood out to me as bad are:
1) the over the top violence
2) undercutting of intense or serious scenes with I appropriately places jokes or humor (like "Iron Man 3").
3) horrendous voice acting from almost everyone except O'Mara and Esposito.
4) weird usage of the League of Assassins... Also they looked like total chumps.
5) the characterizations were all over the place and terribly inconsistent.
