Every one of Batman the animated series episodes are awesome, but, there are some that really stand out. Certain shows that were just special, it almost seemed like the production team said this one's special make the animation really pop and make it all stand out from the rest.

For me those episodes are Robin's reckoning, Two-Face, Feat of Clay, and a few others.

I was just watching Robin's Reckoning and it is just such a beautiful 2 part show. The animation is great, very nice to look at and the acting and everything just comes together so well.

One of my fave things about it is seeing Batman in his original suit, and the way he looked was very cool. I wish he looked like that in all the shows.

The ears seemed longer and the Bat logo was cooler without the yellow oval, I still like the oval but I think the plain one's better.

It just has a certain nostalgic feel to it.

The in Feat of Clay, talk about beautiful animation, the moment at the end when clayface cannot stop himself from changing into all his characters and personas, wow! What a show.

There are a few others that pop out at ya' aswell, such as Almost Got 'Im, and the first Ra's Al Ghul episode, well his first appearance was in Vertigo but I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Two-Face is one of my favorite episodes too. Probably the most touching two-face origin I've ever seen.:2face:

I also really enjoyed I've Got Batman in My Basement. Waugh! Waugh! Waugh! Waugh!

Sorry, I like anything that has the penguin before he was ruined by The New Batman Adventures. He was the only villain I thought that the old '60s batman managed to give the correct personality while keeping the camp.

Also, there's the Cat and the Claw. Catwoman is my favorite supervillainess, and the voice actress managed to portray her to the image of her I have in my mind.

Even 'I've got Batman in my basement'? o_O I really like the Penguin, but that episode was awful. Batman was unconscious for most of it, and we had Penguin being undermined by two bratty annoying kids. The part with them driving the Batmobile was the worst.

Some of my favourite episodes are:

- Feat of Clay part 1&2: Beautiful animation on Clayface. Superb voice acting from Ron Perlman, and the story was so sad. You really felt for Hagen.
- Mudslide: One of the most heartfelt episodes. You actually hate Batman in this episode when he pulls the plug on Hagen's cure. Loooove the part where Clayface smothers Batman inside his body.
- Read my Lips: Scarface and the Ventriloquist were brilliantly done.
- Almost got 'Im: A classic. Gotta' love a gathering of the bad guys.
- Heart of Ice: Another heartfelt story with a tragic villain. This episode heralded a new era for the Mr Freeze character.
- Two Face part 1&2: One of the best Two Face stories ever. I really liked the Big Bad Harv angle.
- The Man who killed Batman: Hilariously brilliant. Sid the Squid could have made a comeback in another episode.
- House and Garden: Creepy as hell. Ivy at her most twisted.
- Avatar: Loved this episode because it explored the Batman/Talia relationship a bit more. Bruce finally admits he has feelings for her. Thoth Kepera was awesome.
- Showdown: An episode where Batman, Gotham City, or any of the regulars are not the focus. It's Jona Hex in the 1800's, and it was superb from start to finish. Malcolm McDowell provided great vocals for Arkady Duvall, and William McKinney chewed the scenery as Jonah Hex.
- The Laughing Fish: A classic episode which combined two legendary 70's Joker stories. The Laughing Fish and the Joker's five way revenge.
- Blind as a Bat: The Penguin at his deadliest. It was great to see Batman overcome such overwhelming odds, and rely on his other senses in order to win.
- Trial: The villains at Arkham putting Batman on trial because they blame him for making them the way they are. Brilliant. Van Dorn tears them all apart easily on the stand. Harley's was the funniest.

Anyways, some of my favourite B: TAS episodes include:

On Leather Wings
Heart of Ice
Feat of Clay
Two-Face
Mad as a Hatter
Perchance to Dream
Dreams in Darkness
Beware the Gray Ghost
I Am the Night
Almost Got ‘Im
Christmas with The Joker
If You’re So Smart, Why Aren’t You Rich?
The Laughing Fish
Robin’s Reckoning
The Demon’s Quest
Shadow of the Bat
Mudslide
Sideshow
Trial
Harlequinade
Bane
Second Chance
Riddler’s Reform
Deep Freeze
A Bullet for Bullock

Also, the animated movie "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" is nothing short of a masterpiece, IMO. It's one of the best Batman movies EVER, right up there with Christopher Nolan's films.

obviously "The Clock King".
I didnt like "Time out of the Joint" quite as much but still enjoyed it.

Laughing Fish
NOthing to Fear
Perchance to Dream blew my mind
Be a Clown
err I guess all the episodes save for "I've got batman in my basement"

Could someone tell me where the rather large black skinned clock king came from?

Mask of the Phantasm? Best animated Batman movie ever made.

"Lady, you're harder to kill than a cockroach on steroids."

My favourites are Perchance To Dream and Legend Of The Dark Knight.

The latter one mainly because it had Carrie Kelly in it.

Perchance to Dream and Over the Edge are episodes I can watch over and over.

And the flashback scene in BB: Return of the Joker is the best Joker/Batman encounter save TDK. I think its much better than DKR's Batman/Joker issue.

I have a few that I really like, though they may have been mentioned already.
1. Dreams in Darkness. Best scarecrow episode. Told from the point of view of Batman in arkham. Really something different.
2. I am the Night. Another great batman centralized episode.
3. Heart of Ice-Classic, one of the best in the whole series.
4. On Leather Wings-original episode, very tight animation, concise plot.
5. Two Face part 1/2-very emotional, well told Two Face origin. My favorite including the comic book origins.
6. Clay Face part 1/2-Like it was mentioned earlier in this thread this episode has some great flowing animation and also the emotional climax. I love Clayface's theme music as well.
7. Joker's Favor. I would consider this the only Joker centric episode that's actually GOOD. Sure they're all fun to watch but this one is exceptionally fun to watch. Here we have Joker doing what he does best, being creepy and preying on an innocent man over the course of several years. He gets in some good punchlines and the theme music to this particular episode (the fart whistle) is pretty memorable.
8. The Laughing Fish-scratch what I said above. This one is good too. Sure it's Joker centric, but it's also the first appearence of Harley and she's NOT annoying.
9. Appointment in Crime Alley-Great episode that looks back on what kind of man bruce is and the things that drove him to become batman. Leslie Tompkins is a great supporting character.
10. Beware The Grey Ghost-Another great episode that explores batman's past. Shows what inspired the cape and cowl and who BATMAN'S role model is. Lots of easter eggs in this one too.
11. Perchance to dream-not as much of a standout as everyone says and I actually believe Over the Edge to be the better of the two but still a very good episode with some very iconic shots.

and then onto the New Adventures:
1. Mad Love-Need I say any more?
2. Over the Edge-Fantastic episode. Great idea of what the world would be like if Batman were discovered.
3. Never Fear-Shows what batman without any fear is like-a murderer. I also like the strange re design of Scarecrow looking like a corpse.
4. Judgment Day-A great Two Face episode that manages to incorporate several other villains as well.
5. Sins of the Father-Good explanation of why Tim Drake is on the team, also another great episode featuring Two Face.
6. Old Wounds-Why did Dick Grayson leave the team? I good episode that explores the hardships of staying a member of the bat family.
7. Growing Pains-a great robin episode AND a great clayface episode.

I am the Night
Growing Pains
Feat of Clay
Mad Love
Old Wounds
Heart of Ice
It's Never Too Late
On Leather Wings
Mask of The Phantasm
the flashback from ROTJ

Those are the ones that really stand out in my mind whenever I thnk of BTAS/TNBA.

Best. Damn. Show. EVAR!

Robin's Reckoning Parts 1 and 2 (by far my favourite episode)
Joker's Favor
If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Ric?

Who is this Ric you speak of?

Oh, when Disney XD comes out next month, B:TAS will be part of their regular programming!

I already own all of the DCAU on DVD, but that is very good news. This show has been sorely missing from TV for a while. It needs more exposure to remind folks what a good cartoon in general is, let alone a Batman one.

I liked TNBA Penguin design better than BTAS but I think both incarnations captured the Penguin fine and made him a believable adversary. Check him out in Second Chance where he's in prison. Pretty ruthless.

Two Face 1 & 2

The Laughing Fish

Joker's Favour

Mad Love

They are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.

night of the ninja always gets overlooked, seeing bruce scared (or more accurately worried) was absolutely amazing...

a completely different side to the character

they should have done more with the character and brought him back for jlu, maybe made him wilson's official master.

Deathstroke was in TAS?!?! I never knew that. I gotsta find it somewhere.

no, i said he needed to be and kyaido-ken from night of the ninja could have been his master...

... Feet of clay 1&2
heart of ice
two face 1&2
its never too late
the laughing fish
dreams in darkness
robins reckoning
almost got em
the man who killed batman
mudslide
read my lips
trial
second chance

over the edge
old wounds
nothing to fear
judgement day
mad love
legends of the dark knight
you scratch my back

Joker's Favor is one of the great, under-rated episodes of BTAS, IMO. It really shows what an obsessive, maniacal bastard The Joker really is.

Almost Got 'Im
Robin's Reckoning
Mad Love
Over the Edge
Legends of the Dark Knight
Joker's Favor
