The first two issues are published in October... however the solicitations seem a little messed up... supposedly 5 issues are to be published yet this issue claims to be number 2 OF 2.

Regardless it's described as a ''twice-monthly, 5-issue miniseries'', the re-teaming of these fan favorite creators and the introduction of a new bat-villain.

Thoughts?

Personally... Jones left a bad taste in my mouth with his recent Bat work so I think I will pass!

I disliked Kelley Jones back in the 90's. However, the Gotham After Midnight miniseries that he recently did actually won me over and I kind of dig his artwork now.

I LOVE Kelley Jones. I'd been wondering when this series would be coming out. I've been looking forward to it. I love the Moench/Jones Batman run - Batman #515 to 552 (1995-1998). October is an appropriate month to debut with the Halloween season.

Batman: The Unseen features Batman- Bruce Wayne! versus a weird, mysterious skinless "meat-man"! The guy's skin and bones has turned invisible, his brain, vains, guts and organs, liver and intestines are visible. Typically gruesome stuff from Doug Moench and Kelley Jones. I love Gothic horror and noir Batman material which is faithful to the original Golden Age Finger, Fox and Kane Batman material. Batman coming and going mysteriously. That's what I really like. I find that stuff much more entertaining and fascinating than the Silver Age lawman Batman versus the dastardly Crazy-Quilt and Calendar Man..biff, pow, wham. Batman: The Unseen's twice-monthly! That's a nice change of pace from the twice-yearly pace of All-Star Batman & Robin.

The 12 year old in me is like "buy it for old times sake" the adult part of me is like "you already buy all the other bat books as it is save the money for something else". I'll wait for a trade.
