Honestly both Spider-Man 3 and Batman Forever are much better movies than Batman v Superman. Seriously.

Considering that I, despite all of its problems, enjoy Spider-Man 3 more than all of Zack Snyder's movies, I believe this.

Just got back from seeing it - it comes off like just a bunch of random scenes shot and them pulled together to make a full length movie. There's no cohesion or real flow to the story, it jumps around a lot. It also doesn't help that the story itself isn't very well thought out. [BLACKOUT]They stop fighting because Batman finally shuts up enough to let Superman tell him his mother is also named Martha. How stupid. [/BLACKOUT]

Some scenes were majorly confusing because they just pop out of nowhere without any idea of what's going on.Wonder Woman was the absolute best though. I came out wishing we'd have just gotten a full movie with her instead of Bats & Supes - the two leads are the least interesting superheroes in the movie.

I give it a 5, maybe 6, out of 10.

The good:
Batfleck
Alfred
Perry White
Action
Aquaman cameo (I like aquaman )

The bad:
Terrible editing
Rushing things for JL
Villain
Trying so hard to redeem mos

Overall it wasnt the movie I hoped for but I was entertained.

6/10

Hmm. Not looking good. I'm nervous about my screening. :(

Stupid, how? Up to that point Bruce had only seen Supes as a potentially dangerous 'other' species, never a man.

Hearing his mother's name again opened up his eyes to a whole new perspective; this alien was born and raised here. By an earthling. And in this alien's last moments of life, he pleads to not let his mother die. Contextually you don't think that's powerful, or at least logical?

A man tormented at the sight of his parents' own killing, hears his mother's name uttered (since god knows how long) in the face of their own demise? Sound familiar? Snyder even drove the point home by repeating the Wayne murder again. Supes was now in the same position as Thomas was. For all his paranoia and rage, that moment snapped Bruce back to his 10-year old self. In a moment of epiphany, Bruce's worldview is altered and he takes his first opportunity of redemption in setting out to save another Martha.

What aspect of that was stupid?

It's the frustrating Can Not Spit It Out moment. How hard was it for Superman to quickly shout out loud [blackout]Luthor has my mother. Please help me!!!![/blackout] and end it right there. [blackout]And there was no reason for Superman to mutter I need to save "Martha" instead of usual "mother". There is no precedent Superman refers her mother with her name.[/blackout]

Ok, just watched it.

The first hour plays kinda like a political thriller. You watch it, expecting every one of those seemingly random plot points to be part of a bigger story, like everything is going to connect by the end of the movie. That does not happen. The whole story is a big mess. By the time Batman finally [BLACKOUT]got his hands on some kryptonite[/BLACKOUT], I couldn't help but wonder why the **** did I have to watch that first hour. Batman just [BLACKOUT]breaks into LexCorp and steals the Kryptonite[/BLACKOUT]. That's it. There's also a lot of setup for the Justice League, but the general audience won't give a ****, honestly.

I don't think it's the worst thing ever, as a movie... But it could've been much, much better.

I really wanted to love this movie (as I have been following this for three years) but I'd have to say it is disappointing to me personally.

There are really editing and script issues of this movie and I don't know if the longer 3 hour run time will really flesh out the script more. The big bat v supes scene, which is supposed to give you shivers, didn't have that impact on me. I believe this again maybe the editing issues, as I understand the overall premise of why they fight but the details of the set up were not executed well enough.

And for posters who said that people don't enjoy this movie because they can only enjoy popcorn fluff. Please stop. Even though I don't agree with some criticisms about this movie, I can see where they are coming from and they have valid reasons to have, well, their own opinion.

However, I wish those who have yet to see it go with your own fresh pair of eyes to see it and see what you think, and hope you will enjoy it.

Also, I LOVED Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman, despite some of the controversial choices made by Zack Snyder ([BLACKOUT]Batman kills a lot of folks in this movie, and I hate that[/BLACKOUT]).

Agreed. The first 45 minutes/hour of the movie is a complete waste of time.

Well said.

Most of the people who are making fun of this are ones who haven't even seen the movie, ironically. They're either ignoring the significance of this and what it really means within the film, refusing to admit there's more behind it than just the "name", or possibly cannot understand what it means. I don't know, but it's actually one of the better moments in the film, especially the build up to it. The resolution is a little quick and they quickly move on from it to save Martha. The movie could have used a few more moments of dialogue between Batman and Supes after they stop fighting before launching into the finale, but it was basically presented as a sudden moment of clarity for Bruce.

i saw tonight for me great movie , much better than most of recent comicbook movies, its bot formulaic its different, the audioence loves too, many people said it was surprising good.

Yep. I'm seeing it on Saturday, and I'm not too pleased with that. And I'm doubly displeased with that because Burton's Batman did that, and I really don't like Burton's Batman at all.

Also was it me? Or was there more superman than batman in the movie?

Don't know why fans have jumped to the conclusion that critics are in some sort of comfort zone with the MCU. Did we not see what Deadpool did? Days of Future Past?

I'm not trying to compare the film itself to Fant4stic, but people are complaining that critics can't handle the tone Snyder has been going for (and Marvel somehow brainwashing everyone). If you look at Days of Future Past then 4stic and the reviews for BvS, you'll see it's all about doing it right. Simple as that. Nothing to do with bias, no conspiracy.

It's a lazy argument from even lazier people. Alas, an inevitable one.

At least Spider-Man 3 has some of the Raimi charm in its story and themes. It sucks that it's bogged down by studio interference, but it does have a decent backbone.

It's amaaaaaaaaaaaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

Can you elaborate?

I have NEVER in my life seen such a polorizing film. The critics are split, more leaning negative, the fans, from what i've seen, and read 7-8 out of 10 praise it.

Man, Friday morning can't get here soon enough, i'm starting to wish i got the "Crappy Seats" Thursday tickets instead just to see what everyone is in a rut over.

I just loved everything about it. :oldrazz:

And I don't care about the critics, they exalt even the worst marvel movie, I really didn't expect them to like this film.

Awesome! Thanks for the response. Speeking of Critics, i thought this was a bit humorous...

It deserves 10/10!!!

However I don't like the ending.... I gave it a 9.

The best superman movie. Period.
