All random YouTube critics have the exact same relevance as any of us posting our reviews on the Hype.

So I should take him seriously? I've been told repeatedly that critics are trash. Only listen to hypesters. If he is akin to one, we should listen!

Check it out,
Who knows if you could be missing out on a movie that you think is great. If you don't like it, then you don't like it.

or he can save his time and money and wait till it comes out on home media. Im not going to bother wasting that on it now myself.

Bottom line I'm seeing. The film didn't warrant a delay is that right? That makes it all the more disappointing to me. They took their time with it and still couldn't get it right.

question, in the scene involving aquaman do we get a clear shot of him( his armor pants trident etc,) or just some dark blurry image.

Oh wow basically it's just a compilation of some scenes without any real connection, tempo or gradation. Affleck and Gadot are great, Eisenberg competes with Jamie Foxx, Cavill's still wooden and Adams' Lois absolutely pointless again. And that amount of (cartoonish) CGI...

5/10
(Man of Steel - 7/10)

Speaking of Lois - I heard she pops in and out of scenes again (just like with MoS) without any real transition or explanation of how she got there.

The scenes were connected by allusions to Greek tragedy. You are just not smart enough.

Those scenes with Lois and the weapon were just ridiculous... Like from some idiotic comedy.

I don't understand these complaints. She had a reason to be every where she went. She knew the weapon was there because she put it there...

They recalled the temptation of the love goddess Athena. I'm sure you've noticed the phallic qualitites of the weapon. She was in lust.

Just finished watching collider.... these guys are pretty much the only ones i can stand right now.... from what they said it was like it wasnt a bad movie, but too many flaws which i guess its like they attribute to snyder... hes very good at action no doubt, but hes just not a good story teller.... also saying it was all there in the movie to be great , but he presented the wrong way....

what got me have a little hope is that they were still all excited about the dceu regardless pf the film....i just hope its not too late for the general audience... maybe mcweenys scenario isnt the worst idea?

Honestly both Spider-Man 3 and Batman Forever are much better movies than Batman v Superman. Seriously.

SPOILER!

The film should have ended a second earlier! :woot:

I didnt watch the movie yet, but ill take schnepps word and people that didnt have an agenda over anybody.. they said it wasnt bad but could and had the potential to be better.... and thats why rotten tomato score is important because just like the positives were overboard so are the negatives are noww gna be like this...

And i maybe new here but there are people i havent seen before the movie release... i guess those guys just rubbing it in now...

People just trolling now lol. Seems like if there was a fan RT it would be 80-85%, that's what matters most to me. Sucks critics aren't totally on board tho. Still a lot of reviews to come in

Just got back from it. I won't spoil anything, and I'd advise whoever doesn't want to get spoiled to stay off any websites related to the movie, as I'm sure someone will drop the bombs soon.

Whoever was clamoring for more uplifting aspects of the Superman myth to pop up on the screen - this is not that kind of movie. In fact, it's a lot darker than Man of Steel. Even the more savings and more uplifting aspects of the character are presented in a very dramatic, melancholic and gloomy way. The movie deals with the repercussions of what happened in the previous movie, and they're not very nice.

Other problems of the movie are its tonal inconsistency and the fact that Zack Snyder lacks any subtlety (if you thought Christopher Nolan wasn't subtle, wait until you hear the infinite dialogue about God, Gods, power, heroism, Greek myths, God, The Devil, Gods, etc.). He tries to present deep themes, but hammers them into the narrative. Explicitly. Again and again. And again. And then there are aspects of the action and Zack Snyder's style which are plain ridiculous (I'm talking about the final fight), which maybe would work better if the movie wouldn't take itself so seriously. But it'd still be CGI overkill. And Wonder Woman...

She's kinda cool. Kinda. Because she's also very useless and her only reason to pop up in here is to set up the future Justice League. She doesn't bring anything else to the table... well, if we count out that she shows off her moves amidst the CGI-heavy climax.

On the other side, though... Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck put their heart and souls into their roles. The new Batman is kick-ass. There are some genius moments in the movie, and the themes presented - ARE INTERESTING. The story touches several very interesting points. Not in a subtle way, and initially not in a way that actually brings anywhere. I was starting to worry this would end being another Zack Snyder Watchmen, where profound conceps are merely thrown on the screen, without any sincerity or knack for character for or real human emotion. But there's one very redeeming scene, which ties the (intially empty) drama of the story together, and made me look at the entire first half of the movie in a different light...

...and then we're back in 'ridiculous territory.' And then it gets interesting again. And another kick-ass scene. And then another cringe-worthy one.

- and this is Batman V Superman in a nutshell: it's an ambitious and bold take on superheroes. But it's also pretty inconsistent and messy.

If I had to give it a rating, it'd be between a B- or C+. I have yet to decide. I'll need some more time to ponder and take it in.

I'm sure looking forward to the future DC Universe, though - so much I can tell you. It's going to be a very interesting ride.

Watched Batman v Superman today. I was a little nervous that I was going to hate it based on its Rotten Tomatoes score, and because I have found myself growing tired of superhero films. I think the critics are being overly harsh. Especially considering how much praise Age of Ultron received which I found to be mediocre and therefore worried this would be far worse. This wasn't inferior to that in my opinion. I think because it isn't "fun" that a lot of critics are feeling it fails as a superhero/popcorn flick. Seemingly it's okay for a film to be dark and gloomy if it's in the "realistic" nolanverse, but not if there are superpowered beings and phenomena going on. The film isn't without its faults (some choppy editing, perhaps being slightly too dense at points, too much cgi during the 3rd act), but there is some of the most nerdtastic comicbook things I've seen in any comicbook movie in it. Plus Snyder's cinematography is a sight to behold at times. Ben Affleck is the best Batman and Bruce Wayne I've seen. I found it far more convincing than Bale's portrayal. Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will be divisive as people will either enjoy what he does with the character or hate it, thankfully it was the former for me, but I certainly wouldn't hold it against people for hating his version . Gal Gadot as Wonder Women is visually amazing. She looks ridiculously beautiful in the film. Also, I enjoyed this version of Alfred far more than the previous incarnations

Anyway, if you have no issues with watching a comicbook film that takes itself pretty seriously without giving too many rays of sunshine than go check it out, but if you're just looking for another fun marvel film than give it a miss.
