The Dark Knight Batman VS Joker: The final Battle

The close-up shots worked the first time in BB, but TDK I would like to see what's going on.

Yeah, I don't want to miss a single bit of the action in TDK. I'm just geeked up on what we'll see in the fight scenes alone.

I loved the fights in Begins but I'm just saying that I agree with you, I want to be able to see every single thing that goes on in the action scenes. Begins was a great start though, the best Batman origins movie to date.

I want the final battle to be brutal. Joker can wound Batman so the playing fields are even. Then they can just go back and forth throwing punches and kicks and Joker will always find some blunt object to use.

I would actually like to see Joker wound Batman him in a place that would last with him for the rest of his life. So Bruce has to fight through it everyday.

I think Rachel dying would haunt him till he dies and make him a very distant person, like Bruce in Batman Beyond. I do think a wound that Bruce has to deal with everyday is another thing to burden him.

Sure it would screw Bruce in the head but c'mon Rachael dying is a stupid idea. The tragedy in TDK is supposed to be Harvey's, no one will care about him if Rachael dies. This is commonsense. Bruce will already be 'dark and brutal' after his friend loses his mind trying to help Batman on his quest.

There could be another tragedy if Two-face is the one who kills Rachel. Harvey is reliant on his coin. Rachel tries to convince him that he has a choice. two-face looks at his coin and says he is sorry and kills Rachel.

What better way to illustrate something that could potentially thrust Harvey into the darkness, than to kill his own lover? Now I want to see this. Pure genius Cap'n.

Because then we have to divide our sympathy, two is less powerful than one. If it wasn't concerning Harvey Dent I wouldn't care, I'm not Rachaels biggest fan it's just that I want the audience to feel it when Harvey goes AWOL. They need walk out of the cinema thinking about Two-Face and movie 3, not about Rachael. She's just the **** in the movie *waits for the slap*

edit: Dent killing Rachael, I dunno that's pretty extreme. he's not going to have much sympathy after that. I think he should be preserved as a tragic figure trying to do 'right' at the end of TDK. Leave the killing innocents for movie3.

I think that could be a great scene. I'd love to hear what it'd be. Thinking about it, I have a couple ideas of how I think it would play out. It'd be great to see what you come up with.

Alright then lets assume that Harvey after the scaring went into hiding so the mob wouldn't find him. His only outside contact would be Rachel Dawes who has a romantic relationship with Harvey. Rachel is worried about Harv, so she asks Gordon and a few cops she trusts to find him. Unfortunately we know how great Gotham PD is and it leaks to the mob who wants to finish the job with Harvey. Harvey is mentally hanging on by a thread in solitude when some hitman try to do him in. Naturally Harvey gets the jump on them first and kills them. That is when he finally splits and his alter ego Two-face takes hold. He knows that Rachel must have told somebody and goes to confront her.

INT- Rachel's Apartment - night
Rachel's room is neat and quite simple, rain is heard beating against the window outside. Her room is dark with the light from the outside illuminating her room. Keys are heard unlocking the door and Rachel enters her room. She is tired and soaked, and turns on the light. She is startled as she sees a wounded Harvey sitting in a corner of her room flipping a coin. A small table sits besides him and a small revolver and phone upon it.

Rachel - Harvey what happened?!

Rachel goes to Harvey's side to aid him

Harvey - Don't touch me!

Rachel - Why? Whats wrong?

Harvey - Cut the bull****, I know you work for Maroni.

Rachel - Harvey what are you talking about?

Harvey - His hitmen came for me, they knew where I was. Care to explain?

Rachel - Harvey I have no idea how they knew where you were!

Harvey - YOU'RE A LIAR!

Harvey pounds the table with his fist.

Harvey - I never figured Maroni would have had you under his thumb! How long? The whole time?!

Rachel stares at him

Rachel - Harvey you know me, you know I didn't do anything like that. Do you honestly think I would hurt you?! Do you think I am just another corrupted citizen in a broken city?!

Harvey glares at her. He flips his coin and places it on the table with his hand covering it.

Harvey - We shall have fate decide..

Rachel - Harvey stop this! You are not thinking with reason! I know you care for me and would never harm me or anyone. You love this city, I believe in you Harvey.

Harvey stares at her reflecting on what she just said. He takes a deep breath then in one fell swoop he grabs his gun and shoots Rachel. He looks at his coin which is a scarred head. He heads for the door turning off the lights. His silhouette is seen caused by the lights of the hallway. He looks back.

Harvey - I believed in Harvey Dent too.

Harvey slams the door CUT TO: credits or whatever​

I like it. I think this could be a good way to introduce Two-Face, and to keep his scarred half under wraps. Say that before the mob (should something like this plays out) comes to finish the job Dent still has the bandages on. But say in the scuffle they come loose and the thugs coming to off Dent catch a look at him, enough to hesitate, allowing him to take the upper hand. Afterwards, he looks in the mirror (his scarred half still blind to us) he lashes out in pain. He then goes to drown his sorrows at the bar, where the barkeep notices him and the whole "Thought you were dead," "Half" deal comes up, because he realizes what he has to do.

Follow that with a scene of him killing Rachel (like you suggested, very nice btw) and I think you have a killer intro. Not necessarily the end of a movie, but a hell of a lead-in.
