I think you're giving Bane's strength way too much credit. Bane only beat the Batman because he tackled him when he was worn out from fighting the slew of villains Bane released from Arkham.

If Bane was so good, he could have tackled Batman at his peak condition. Then he could claim a real victory over beating Batman physically. Assuming he'd beat Batman, of course.

What great victories has Bane got in the fighting stakes? What great physical opponent has he beaten? I can't think of any. Killer Croc, I think. But he's just a poor man's version of The Lizard.

I'm not denying that Bane's not without his weaknesses, it's just that everyone in here came in bashing Bane, saying he's worthless, etc. True, he waited until Batman was weak until he took him down, but what smart fighter wouldn't do that? I'm not even that big of a Bane fan, it's just that numerous posters came in here blindly bashing others.

Besides, as I said, Bane used tactics to his advantage. What smart figher wouldn't weaken his opponent first?

Nobody said Bane wasn't smart. Unfortunately, when it comes to Spider-Man, he'd be fighting someone equally as smart, if not smarter.

I could list you a dozen instances where Spidey used his brains rather than his muscles to defeat an opponent. Spidey is a brilliant strategist in his fights. And he has super powers to back it up.

I'm sorry, but when you look at these facts, Batman really wouldn't have a leg to stand on if he fought Spider-Man. They both have brains, but Spidey has Batman outclassed when it comes to the strength. And Spidey has defeated enemies who are just as intelligent as he is, if not moreso. Villains like Goblin and Ock are geniuses, and they're super powered.

What arguement can you make for Batman to trump this? Saying he's intelligent just doesn't cut it.

Um no, not every spidey rogue has superhuman strength. The enforcers don't and electro (WHO IS ON THE LIST) doesn't.

Any spidey rogue who does have superhuman strength is currently stronger than bane because he isn't currently using venom (i notice you ignore this).

I also notice you ignore the explanation of the low amount of strength that venom grants bane (relative to spidey villains who are in the 10 ton range)

Ummm, his resources, technology, and millions of dollars wont help him in a one on one fight with Spidey. What is he going to do, bribe Spidey to let him win? t:

Norman Osborn has all that, and it didn't help him. The Kingpin runs a huuuuge criminal empire, and all his money and resources and technology didn't do him any good.

As for martial arts prowess, Spidey has beaten some of the best in that field. And the will to do what it takes? Spidey has that in spades.

So, what else you got?

Honestly, those champing for Batman have not offered anything of substance in Batman's defence to beat someone of Spidey's caliber. And I love Batman. But I'm not looking at him thru rose coloured glasses. Pitting him against a hero who routinely beats some of the most powerful and intelligent characters in the comic book universe would be suicide. Batman wouldn't stand a chance.

augmented strength refers to something that temporarily increases strength.

superstrength is strength above the best human levels.

Seriously find us one bit of proof that says spidey's strength is augmented, it's super.
