BvS Batman Vs Superman: can't we find a better title than that? Any suggestions?

Excellent suggestion.

Or just "Prep Time".

Or, "Who Would Win Out Of Batman And Superman?"

You do know that gif is funny when applied to the right thread right? :o

Super Bat Man of Blue Steel - The End of Le Tigre

...brought to you in association with Magnum and Ferrari.

A few years ago, I thought The Dark Knight of Steel was a cool title.

World's Finest is best for this movie. It has always been synonymous with Batman and Superman team ups. It'd be a mistake not to use it for their first live action encounter.

There hasn't been a World's Finest comic since 1986
DC published Superman/Batman from 2003-2011
The book was relaunched as Batman/Superman.

so for the past 10 years it hasn't been synonymous with their team ups.
So if you think WB/DC will name a movie after a book they aren't printing anymore and miss out on the obvious connection to the current book....
In fact WB/DC put out two direct to dvd movie with Batman and Superman and what were they called:
Superman/Batman:public Enemies
Superman/Batman:Apocalypse
they could have named either one World's Finest...they didn't.

Further to that the first animated Batman Superman crossover (Timmverse) released on DVD was called The Batman Superman movie.

but wasn't that 3 show arc on supes:TAS called world's finest? that's something? right? :D

True, but they didn't put it on the DVD ;)

Great lines from BvS DVD

Bruce - 'I could always, ASK HIM'
You need to see the context of this to appreciate the delivery of the line.

Joker - 'There's nothing mere about Bat mortal'

Joker - 'Oh, there are differences to be sure, like hair'

Joker 'Two heroes for the price of one, I love it. And the best part is you're all going out with a smile'

BATMAN/SUPERMAN:VERSUS

could be against each other and/or against something and someone else and it doesn't lead on as if the climatic battle would be against each other.

with the :batty: making up the VER AND US and the :super:, well the S in the middle as a logo.

that's the best I've got.

The fact that World's Finest hasn't been used in almost 30 years in any context should be the end of the debate. Counter arguments are welcome but no-one can honestly say the title World's Finest has had any significant meaning in the last 30 years in regards to the two characters to warrant it being the title for this film.

Well that about does it.

Seeing as we haven't gotten a title and most of the suggestions have been the same ones just constantly reiterated I don't see a reason for this thread to be open anymore. That includes the reasoning for any given title whether it be Batman vs Superman, Superman vs Batman, Batman/Superman, Superman/Batman, and World's Finest.

The cyclical nature of most of the discussions at this point indicates that everything that needed to be said had been said. All the viable titles have been discussed to their limit essentially.

Once we get an official title we can go ahead and create a new thread on what people think of the officially released title. Until then this thread is now closed.
