The Dark Knight Batman's Theme Music in TDK

The Joker's theme should be the same as Batman but played in reverse.

"Retrovertigo" and "My Ass Is On Fire" are two of quite a few tracks by Mr. Bungle that have always made me think of the Joker.

Here try this:

I just spiced up the end credit sequence a bit with some upbeat riffs and some sounds that I thought were iconic in the first score. I think we may get something very similar to this in the dark knight.

He had one in BB buddy.

Not according to the composer. But I sort of thought he had the beginnings of one until Zimmer said that. There's a two note brass part that seems to be throughout Begins that sounds like the beginnings of a theme to me. But I guess Zimmer didn't feel that way.

Did a favor to another poster from here, but here's the link to the last minute of the BB preview music (with sounds) for anyone who might want it:

I think youre on to something here.. This sounds like the end credit piece but more..Final. It could be what we get in TDK as his theme. Like i said a couple of days ago, i do feel the bit of music (during the end credits) is seriously close to what his final theme will end up being.

And yet there was a theme. You can hear it clearly in Molossus and then all over the movie.

I guess Zimmer was demanded to make a more memorable theme - even when I thought the Batman theme he did was great (as was the whole score) - and now he is pretending there wasn't a Batman theme so he can say this first Batman theme is as memorable as fans wanted. Ugh.

Your music and your Batman theme was good, Zimmer. Be more confident.

Well, I'd also like something more memorable. Zimmer CAN do it, so I'd have no problem with it.

Oh, I'm not on to anything, lol. I just ripped the final minute of music from
the Smallville preview, nothing more. I don't know... I think we're off the mark as far as the theme is concerned.
And it dawned me that the whole thread is about a piece of music the OP found that was from the BB trailer, claiming it could be the TDK theme? Not very logical, as Sylar... erm, Spock would say, huh?

Zimmer better come up with the theme of his life for the Joker. No more "earned" bulls**t, time to step up. And i hope he uses violin, the instrument favoured by clowns, capable of creepy sounds or sad ones.

No! COWBELLS!

Pretty much everyone except for the strange people who think that Elfman's score would somehow work with BB and TDK. I will never understand them.

For Joker, I hear a lot of disjointed notes and melodies, maybe some staccato...much more of a melodic noise than an actual theme. It'd be akin to what you'd hear in the halls of Arkham if you stopped and listened. It would be weird, chaotic, and plain crazy.

Zimmer likes using layered sounds. My vote is for fingernails scraping a blackboard, maybe with a sampling of the sounds the trash collectors make at 4AM, an unbalanced washing machine on an uneven floor during the 'spin' cycle (for rhythm), and of course cats in heat.

What this theme needs is lots of cowbell.

All RIGHT, already. Here.

LOL, yeah, whatever. I hate it when they "pretend" something like that. LOL. THERE WAS NO COMPLETE THEME IN BB FOR BATMAN. This is obvious from listening to the score AND from the words of the composer. What more do you need??Anyway, I hope there are actually track listings in the TDK score. I get tired of having to look at the track listing to know which track I want to hear. Naming them after bats may have been clever, but it makes it harder to me at least to listen to what I want exactly. Maybe it was a way to cut down on spoilers, but they can get around it if they want.

No, the composer is lying to us. Theres a conspiracy!!
