BvS Batman's Voice Thread

Wait are there two batvoices? One in the heavy armor suit, and then just his regular bstvoice? I thought there were two different things.

So the way his voice sounds all...idk robotic, that supposed to be some device that does that?

Yup.

Voice that says "it's time you learned what it means to be a man" is a robotic mech-suit voice.

Voice that says "that SOB brought the war to us", "Oh, sh..." and "I thought she's with you" is a regular batsuit voice and is much more subtler and not robotic at all. To tell you the truth, it took me a while to figure out that it was modulated when it comes to the "SOB" line. I thought it was all Affleck as pissed Bruce Wayne.

I don't think there are any differences in the Bat voices. They sound exactly the same.

I really hope they don't overdo it.

I know it makes sense for Batman to have something to disguise his voice, but I was hoping it wouldn't be as prominent when he's outside of the armour/mech suit.

They don't. I was listening to those with the headphones. Listen it again and compare the lines I posted above.

In the German trailer both the batvoices are strangely barely modulated. Even the mechsuit batvoice sounds significantly less robotic than in den teaser trailer.

Some people didn't want modulated voice at all and I can understand that as I didn't as well. But, as far as modulated voices go, this batvoice sounds pretty good and much more subtler and clearer than Bale's growl, to me.

Again, when I heard the "that son of a b**ch brought the war to us" line, I just thought it is pissed off Bruce Wayne - Affleck with his regular voice.

By the way, this Batman swears a lot. Will somebody think of the children? Marvel would never do this.

I love everything about Ben Affleck's Batman and Bruce Wayne, he might become my favorite Batman ever, with the exception on his voice. I like it, but it ain't no Keaton.

I figured this would be the way they'd go. Maybe it's because Affleck has a somewhat weak grovel voice (see DD) or maybe they just thought this made sense. If anything, the aesthetic of this Batman is more suited to a non-modulated voice whereas the Bale Batman (what with his militaristic aesthetic) is more suited for modulated.

Oh well. Affleck still looks great in the role.

For those who say they can't hear a modulated voice, try using headphones or ear buds. If you still can't hear it, maybe have your hearing checked? Lol, his voice has a lot more bass and definitely sounds modulated when he is in his regular suit.

It looks like we'll be able to see Batman grapple in and out of frame unlike any other Batman we've seen. If we get to see some criminal forensics or investigative skills, then he will be the best Batman ever.

I can understand the modulated voice for the mech suit but not for the normal Bat suit; it doesn't seem like he'd have a lot of technology built into his grey suit, with most of his tech coming from his utility belt.

I only heard 2 Batman lines in the trailer; the quip at the end, and a little bit before that as a voiceover talking to Supes about "being a man".
