The Dark Knight Batmobile To Go BOOM!?

i
there's no firm reason to think the tumbler's destruction would give way to the batmobile. it might give way to another tumber.

That statement doesn't make sense. The tumbler already IS the batmobile. Just because they dont call it that and it doesn't have giant fins on it doens't keep it from being the batmobile. I hope we never hear that name in the films, anyways. Whatever car Batman drives will be known as the batmobile to fans, and thats all that matters.

It's why I get kinda annoyed every time i see fans refer to it as the tumbler. I mean, sure you can do that when you're in a discussion about the various batmobiles, just like you'd call the Burton and Shumacher cars the "burtonmobile" and "those stupid neon pieces of ****" respectivley. But in a thread obviously about Nolan's movie, just call it the Batmobile, we know which one you mean.

Hell, the name tumbler only came up once in the movie by Fox anyways.

A boat would make more sense than a motorcycle to me, but that's just my opinion.....

I like the Tumbler, but I'm also open to seeing something different as well. Should be interesting.

man i dont know if this is that cool cuz i liked the tumbler... theres nothing like coming out of a club at 3 or 4 in teh morning and seeing and hearing that massive beast come down the road.. i was WTF is that thing and then you see it slide down the street, i asked one of the club door men what that was they said SHHHHH its batman... i was like no wayyyyyy ... the guy said seriously their filming... that was pretty cool

The only thing I can half picture not being laughable is a bike. How much crime does Batman have to fight on the open sea? To make it useful in Batman Forever the Riddler had to have his own island

you kind of contradicted yourself- and i agree with your second paragraph- the tumbler IS the batmobile, so there's no need to have an entirely different design emerge if the first is destroyed because everyone already accepts the tumbler as the batmobile. i can see some enhancements but not a completely slick batmobile a la burton.

am i really the only one who thinks a batcycle would pwn? dude a highspeed motorcycle would kick ass (although his cape is way too huge probably)

I agree with ya Soups... The tumbler is the batmobile, and I think a motorcycle (if done right) would be awesome. I don't see the need for a batboat - even if there is a scene involving water because realistically, Batman doesn't fight crime on water (at least most of the time he doesn't)

* By the way: What does "PWN" mean? I've seen it many times on these boards. At first I thought people were trying to say "own" and mistakingly typed the "p" instead of the "o"... but I've seen the word so many times I'm thinking the "p" is intentional.

you got it exactly.

it's actually short for 'pawn', which is the exact opposite of 'own' :o

I got WHAT exactly? Is it the same thing as "own" ? If so, why not just write "own" ? I'm missing something here I guess...

its internet linggo, like LOL or ROFL, PWN means "own" but is oftentimes typoed since P is next to O. it happens so often it became part of net speak. go figure.

How would a bike be useful?......Gotham almost looks like an urban archipelago in those aerial shots in BB. There'd be canals, harbours and rivers connecting the major areas of the city and in many cases traveling by water might be far less dangerous and more stealthy than taking the tank out on crowded roads. He can sneak around dark waters. Even better if he can fit a motorbike on his boat.

So Miranda is Michelle Williams. Is this it.

I have also asked myself why people post her pic and say "this is Miranda"... is it because she's such a big Ledger fangirl that they joke and say she's his wife/girlfriend? (I don't know if they're married.. I don't really care either)

*injured voice* That's cold, man.

But yes, it is joke. ;)

Hey Muziko, this is the best discription I could find(see below)

A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned."

Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned."

It basically means "to own" or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force.

"That team totally pwned us."

LoL... I guess it did come off a little cold. I meant that I'm not really into following celebrities' lives (nothing against people who are... my sister knows the gossip on a lot of her Hollywood faves)
I guess we're all fans of something in a way... I just happen to love music, art, and money! LoL.

Thanx Kleric for the explanation... Now I don't feel left out! LoL.

Well, I don't know Michelle Williams by sight, so at first I was like, "Huh. That's Miranda. ...Well, you sure ****** then ***ing *** a whole ****** in an hour. For free."

Then I saw the file name, and then revelation came.

So I guess this goes out to you, Michelle Williams - you're pretty hittable.

That's right. I'm that classy.

Well Spiny... I can tell you were trying to say something vulgar... but who knows WHAT that was. Sux though... it was probably funny. LoL.

No problem Muziko, half the time I have no idea what people are saying :woot:

As for Miranda Fox, well we all know she is a quantum leaper, trying to set right Bat movies that once went wrong and hoping each time her next leap...will be her leap home... To bad she arrived here after 1997 :oldrazz:

I must have set off a geek alarm with that one.

And SpinyNorman I could not agree more, I would **** and ******** then once the horse left I’d *******ing go ***************** goats *******ed.

That’s just to start.

I say Miranda stop everything she's doing and post her most secksiest pic until we continue this thread

Sorry Miranda, I started the Joke. There is always some mother****er’s always trying to ice skate uphill.

First time I even heard that phrase was in "Blade"... WTF does it even mean?

Does it matter what Miranda looks like? She has been super nice (even to a noob like me)

Besides if she keeps up with the mad fat spoilage she will soon hit Goddess status around here. ****I’m not worthy****

If what my friend was told is true wouldn't that mean the batmobile will be blown up near a body of water AND that they'd also be using the same location to film Batman doing his swan dive into the water?

Wasn't Nolan and Company scouting out a waterfront over in London?

Sounds like the place it could happen IMO.
