Batsuit.

Full disclaimer: I'm NOT a white eyes enthusiast at all.
For me, just like the blue highlights in the black hair (or on the cape and cowl...), all these things are graphic elements belonging to the medium of comics and illustration.
It's not meant to look like that “IRL”.

BUT... I'm always interested in testing things.

Working from the idea that, in-universe, Batman could wear lenses to enhance his supernatural aspect and hide his identity further, and that out-of-universe, we need the actor's eyes to maintain some emotional connection, I wondered what lenses that weren't totally opaque would look like... So here it is :

I find the rendering realistic (in the sense that it's a valid simulation of the rendering) and thought it might be of interest to some, whatever their position on the matter...
Not a fan... It makes him look fantastical, maybe if this was GUNN or another context for fantasy. But giving Bats white lenses in his realism world is like giving PUNISHER the white boots and white gloves in his REALISM world.

The Batman had Bruce wearing high tech contact lenses already, so having the lenses embedded into his cowl wouldn't be much of a stretch. If anything, it would be more logical than The Batman where Bruce was using his dirty fingers to dig his contact lenses out of his eyes (very gross scene :vomit:).

I think white lenses make sense not only in terms of capturing that comic book imagery, but also bringing Batman up to date in terms of how movies are filmed, and getting away from the "black eye-shadow" aesthetic that been there since 1989 (and is outdated in 2025).

I can see them using the KC bat shield... Of course much smaller.

I think Gunn or Andy or whoever WILL literally do every single "iconic" Batman element in the inevitable Batsuit.

Trunks, lenses (I'm thinking the G.I.T.D idea people have been pushing for years) The longer ears, the Spikes on the gauntlets, scallops on the cape. Probably similar to those BatKeaton suits that made cameos.

I think that if it ever comes to fruition regardless of whether It's the same time as Pattinson or after they'll want the suit to be immediately recognizable to the DCU, similar to how Supermans suit is still classic without being as exact replica of Reeves, except they'll be able to stick even closer to the "regular" Outfit because Batman has been redesigned more dramatically than Superman thus far.

Given Gunn's Morisson/Quitely love, I think we may see something with a looser fit (no fake muscles) and maybe the yellow oval like in Batman Inc.

As for incorporating blue, I think the way they did it in The Flash was pretty perfect, just making it a slightly colder black in the grading.

I'm really torn on the Yellow oval vs now Yellow oval for the DCU Batman.

I for one would like to see it again. I like the whole concept of it being a target for thugs and or serving a purpose ( like illumination) My GMC Denali has a light up emblem

The blue and grey is a must for Batman in a world of superheroes. We need the yellow oval, though. And when it comes to trunks, you’ve either got to use them or don’t. No weird non-trunks just for the sake of breaking up all the grey.

Zero chance that there’s DCU influence without a DCU Batman even in place, but the sudden shift to blue and grey for the first time in well over a decade makes me wonder if that might be the agreed upon direction for DCU Batman.

It only makes sense, to differentiate from Pattinson.

agreed. While I hate THE FLASH film, I did like the blue and grey used in that opening seen for Affleck's suit. The suit was awful but the color scheme was awesome.

As long as he can turn his neck i'm satisfied.

It would be cool if they made up with and brought back Jose Fernandez and Ironhead Studio for the new Batsuit.

He had developed a new system to maintain the classic silhoutte of the cowl and neck and allow Ben Affleck to turn his head.

They didn't quite manage to make it work without Fernandez and Ironhead on Justice League.

I want something reminiscent of Zack Snyder's suit. It's still an amazing suit form BVS. Despite the film, acting, etc... when I first saw it on trailers and teasers my first thought was "holy moly, now there is a Batman that looks like Batman." It's simple and the grey and black aesthetic was awesome coming off the jigsaw puzzle uniform from Nolan's vision. While I appreciate the Matt Reeves film, I still can't get on board with the utilitarian look even in that realistic world that film maker has created. The car on the other hand is awesome. Just my opinion.

Looking at Gunn’s Superman suit and its variety of influences (Kingdom Come shield, New 52-ish collar, some pretty All-Star looking trunks) and I’m wondering if the DCU Batsuit might end up somewhat similar, taking inspiration from several eras and mashed up into one.

That suit would look awesome. Especially if Alan Ritchson played him

The latest Superman trailer made up my mind.

Blue and gray, with the oval, capsule belt and trunks.

Cloth, no armor. He's a ninja, not iron man.
The colors, dark blue and gray.
