I voted for Aerosmith because they are about the only band up there that has succesfully transcended through so many generations and decades. The Beatles would still be the best if they all were still alive and Ringo wasn't a weirdo.

6.75% of Zeppelin is cover songs! Shock, Surprise, Awe, Rage...

Boredom
Dude. I'm NOT trying to insult or discredit them in any way. I'm just pointing out their obvious influences, and yes I was being a smart ass with the "original songs" poke earlier. Calm down. Some of the best songs are covers, that doesn't take away from the band putting on their own stylings with it and making it their own. How many people know that "Cocaine" and "After Midnight" by Clapton are both J.J. Cale covers? Not many, because he made them his own. Zeppelin did that with their covers, Van Halen did it with theirs, and so did Skynyrd.

there,....but, chiefly? Helter Skelter, Tomorrow Never Knows and I am the Walrus, 'cause I prefer Rocking-Out with a mystical, creepy tinge to it...which is why I like Black Sabbath and LZ.
Strong list  I can't believe I left some of them off of mine.

"I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "It's All Too Much". Two of the longest, heaviest, most far out Beatles songs and they never get mentioned.

My top three though...

3.Revolution

2.A Day In the Life

and the winner...easily....

1.I AM THE WALRUS (the song that gave me chills the first time I heard it)

Its Only a Northern Song is another song that gets sadly overlooked.

True. Songs on "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Yellow Submarine" always are because they weren't proper albums I suppose.

Couldn't have said it any better. Hey Bulldog, It's Only a Northern Song, It's All Too Much, Baby You're a Rich Man, The Fool on the Hill, Your Mother Should Know, Flying are all underated songs and all of them are off either Yellow Submarine or Magical Mystery Tour.

I rate Fool On The Hill.

but nothing on Beatle-Earth compares to TNK,IATW, and HS.

facts here.^

Desperately needs "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Four Sticks" and "No Quater" on it. Also "I'm Gonna Crawl" is on there twice and "D'yer Mak'er" is ahead of "Dazed and Confused" for some reason? Glad you have "Ten Years Gone" in the top five though.

Thanks for catching "I'm Gonna Crawl". "Four Sticks" I never liked, but the other two are great. I'm going to dump the second "I'm Gonna Crawl" as well as "Carouselamba", which now that I think of it is quite bad. And yes, "Dazed & Confused" is better than "D'yer Mak'er", but I like "Dy'er Mak'er" better. When you think about it, it's a pretty innovative song. Zeppelin along with The Rolling Stones were the first white mainstream rock band to expose reggae to the mainstream. "Ten Years" Gone" is a beeauitful song. It's haunting and Plant's vocals really tug at me.

Here's my list of Beatles songs:

1) Let It Be
2) Helter Skelter
3) Please Please Me
4) Do You Want To Know A Secret
5) Can't Buy Me Love
6) I Am The Walrus
7) You Know My Name, Look Up The Number
8) Yellow Submarine
9) Back In The U.S.S.R.
10) Abbey Road Medley
11) Revolution 1 (Acoustic Version from The White Album)
12) Birthday
13) Maxwell's Silver Hammer
14) I Wanna Hold Your Hand
15) All Together Now
16) Fool On The Hill
17) Blue Jay Way
18) Your Mother Should Know
20) Glass Onion
21) Something
22) Things We Said Today
23) If I Fell
24) A Day In The Life
25) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
26) With A Little Help From My Friends
27) She Loves You
28) Hey Jude
29) The Long And Winding Road
30) Octopus's Garden

I could never post my top 30 Doors songs, it was incredibly tough for me just to pick my number one
