Battlefield 3

As long as they dont become CoD, there is no problem with that. BF is by FAR the better game and should be recognized as such. Ppl should be lining up blocks away to purchase it, not CoD. But lets be honest, EVERY major publisher is trying to go after that market. Theyre tired of seeing Activision cash those checks every year. Also, thats a bad ass cover.

I agree, CoD has become more and more over the top with each game. I don't like fighting hordes of enemies until I get to a certain point in the level and they stop respawning. In a way, it seems like CoD is taking the Ninja Gaiden route by seeing how much punishment they can put you through before you have a nervous breakdown. Battlefield to me seems a little more realistic in terms the way a gun fight occurs, and the level of destructible enviroments can easily turn the tables in a fight.

The only thing I have got from Call Of Duty is that it's like an MMO feeding users peanuts for playing. Congratulations, you have done something. congratulations, you have done something. congratulations, you have done something. It's porn pop up's without the porn.

Such an awesome cover

The thing I like is better than the thing you like!!

But seriously, I'm very much looking forward to seeing more on this game.

Thats a fantastic way to look at it.

Bye Call of Duty. You were my holdover until Battlefield got back in the form I recognized.

Planes are back baby! Thats all I needed to know.

64 players for PC and rumored for the consoles. Prone is back. HELL YEAH this is BF baby! This is going to be epic!

The music in that trailer really reminded of The Terminator for some reason.

Day 1 buy.
For me too. I'm very late to the Battlefield party but it's now probably the only Day 1 buy game for me apart from GoW3.

Really hoping they use the same load out themes from Battlefield2. They were so damn memorable.

Chinese Loadout Theme

Wake Island 2007. :p

Yea I bought Battlefield 1942 when it first came out, they do make some of the best MP games out there.

EDIT: Wasn't there a fan made mod for BF1942 that was Terminator based? I never played it but heard great things.

I bought 1942 when it first came out as well. Didn't like it very much.

Battlefield 2 IMO is the best BF.

Thats all I played. Best music, weapons/classes, maps, and vehicles.

Bar none the best modern warfare FPS. The OG MW game may I add.

I guess Counter Strike also gets some credit as well.

I have only played Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2. I was never much of a PC gamer after the early Quake era, so I didn't get to enjoy the original Battlefield games. I really enjoy the scale of 1943 and the destruction of the Bad Company games. So I'm sure I'll be up for this.

I definitely have COD fatigue, I did not pick up Black Ops and probably won't, and unless something is awesomely different about this year's release I probably won't get that either.

I am excited to see all the information I can about Battlefield 3.

God the amount of nostalgia that is running through my head. I really can't express how happy I am that they are including Jets and 64 player PC online but if consoles seem to be getting planes as well I wonder if maybe they are also going to have the consoles be able to hold 64?

I really hope so. This is just beyond good either way.

Brings me back to when me and my friend watched this stunt video and tried it out and we were able to do it after several tries. We were doing this via Lan in our local cyber cafe so we were goofing around and laughing like idiots.

It was during lunch and its safe to say that skipping the rest of that school day was a good choice. :hehe:

Awesome BF2 jet stunts. Including the switch between two jets while free falling in mid air trick. Yeah sounds ridiculous but incredibly fun.

While it wasn't a very good game, M.A.G. did manage to have 256 player online for the PS3. I'm sure with the right servers or whatever, 64 player is easily doable.

True its just I'm wondering about the 360 and Microsoft although if anyone can do that along with DICE/EA its them. Sony/PS3 as you mentioned already proved that they were able to make it work.

You're right that it's doable. I hope it works. DICE cancelled two other Battlefield projects to fully concentrate on BF3.

I'm really expecting something special here.

:(

Oh well not bad I guess. We still have jets so thats a positive.
