Paradox of Hottness indeed :)

My views on the critics are in tangent territory. My views on your statement are based mostly on the segment where you mentioned people having poor taste if they like movies like TF.

Like I said it's art, one can like a finger painting or a french portrait and still be justified. Taste shouldn't have a measure, and when people put a measure on it they are really doing something else. That being said, films aren't novels and one can appreciate them on many different levels. Visuals alone for example.

I like berg and I love that one shot in Asia somewhere but I don't think this will have the juice of bay formers.

If I'm seeing a summer action film, and I get deep underlying subtexts, i'm going to sue. :o

Also, I think that's the problem with today's films. Everyone expects "more". Why can't they just be the film? Why do they have to be more?

Raiders of the Lost Ark is an amazing film. But what else is it? It's a fun, well made film. It is what it is. What about Aliens? It It's nothing more then what it is.

I just wish films today could just stop worrying about making something deep, and make something GOOD.

You're ****ing cool. Anyone who disagrees with you is not.

Apperently, you're only supposed to like Terrence Malick films, and some Lairs Von Teir ****. The lowest you can go is Nolan. Any lower and UR HAVE A POOPY TASTE.

I think the person who only watches crappy art films has the worse taste. :awesome:

Like Hipsters? HA! :awesome:
But thank you. I know quite a bit of ppl who are such haters. And yes, as horrible a stereotype it is, they all go to film school. One of them even told me a few months ago he (secretly) likes the first Transformers film but can't tell anyone about it because he's a film student and that's just shameful and embarrassing.

I mean, COME ON. I may not like the same things as the other guy, but that doesn't mean that I won't give credit where credit's due nor will I say you're not allowed to like that. :whatever: Such snobs.

I'm going to film school next month. I'll be sure to keep praising Bay and the Transformers flicks. I don't give a **** what some snobby ******* says. His movie probably suck anyway. "Deep and meaningful" my ass! :hehe:

LMAO. Well good luck to you. Film students get a bad rap, unfortunately.

It's always funny when someone thinks they're smarter than you because they know a lot about movies. :woot:

They act like they're curing cancer.

You just described 99% of all hollywood movies.

3/4's through this trailer I forgot this was about Battleship.

Every year it's the same thing.

Big budget Hollywood action movie = THE END OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT! FIRE FROM THE SKIES! POISON FROM THE EYES! KILL! KILL! KILL!

Also, bees.

There's repetition in every market and in every genre.

Transformers 4: Rise of the Aquabots
Guest Appearance: Master Chief, Halo

BRING IT!

I'm seeing this, no doubt. It looks like good fun and it has Liam Neeson in it. Not lookin' for a movie to make me think.

I just pray it's not as soul-less as the two Transformers sequel ....

It'll be cool. The Regents look awesome.

By the way, it's being called Battleship: Battle for the Seas were I live. Though it was pretty curious.

I think I'm more interested to see the special effect that is a bikini'd Brooklyn Decker than those CGI aliens in this movie. :o
