My views on the critics are in tangent territory. My views on your statement are based mostly on the segment where you mentioned people having poor taste if they like movies like TF.
Like I said it's art, one can like a finger painting or a french portrait and still be justified. Taste shouldn't have a measure, and when people put a measure on it they are really doing something else. That being said, films aren't novels and one can appreciate them on many different levels. Visuals alone for example.
I like berg and I love that one shot in Asia somewhere but I don't think this will have the juice of bay formers.
