No, it's not the same. In doing Transformers or Pirates or Jurassic Park with IMAX cameras, you can't take advantage of ALL of the great things IMAX has, because you need to decrease the resolution to add your main characters.And again, you have lost me. Giant robots, supernatural pirates, whathaveyou, these are the types of visuals that would benefit from being shot specifically for IMAX.
If a damn city overview can take your breathe away, imagine what unreal things, that LOOK real, can do in IMAX resolution. It provides for lots of potential. It'd be like Jurassic Park all over again.
I'm sure it'll look great, but it won't be the same caliber as shooting TDK's truck flip for real in IMAX.
I think he means "most of the image," not necessarily most of the actual movie. That's why they didn't do any Two-Face scenes in IMAX, because the most important part of each shot involving him (his crispy face) would have to be downsized in resolution.Yes, you're about to say "TDK should have never been made with IMAX", if you are to follow the logic of that bolded question.
