The Dark Knight BD Live Chat with Christopher Nolan

Damn. Wish he would have answered that one about the 5.

And damn, again. He said Two-Face is definitely dead.

Who exactly are the five people, including the two cops?
I will answer this question one day. But not today.
That reminds me of the  :cmad: that ensued when the script was released and it still didn't answer the six/ten question. :lmao:

Do you think he's holding out on an answer because it hasd some relevance to a third film???

I'm surprised no one's asked him again if Joker was supposed to come back.

5 minute break at the end!? haha

oh ahaha pee break agian

"2-pee movie."

oh, it's a two-pee movie, will make a shorter movie next time

Maybe he's avoiding the "five cops" question because it has something to do with his notes on the third film? Might just be wishful thinking, though.

Clearly, he needs to lay off the Mountain Dew.

And we are true fans if we made it through this in the theater without peeing. :lmao:

I asked him.

I asked him "Boxers or briefs........or commando" and he didn't answer.

Instead he told us he liked Star Wars.

:boba:

another pee break

Nolan: This is a 2-pee break film. I need to make a shorter movie next time.

well that thought crossed my mind right away, whether its the case or not

Q: How close is Batman to the brink of his ethics?
A: The Joker tests all of the characters in the film. None more so than Batman himself. I tihnk Batman is pushed right to the brink of his ethics. And that is very much the point of the story.

Q: Chris, were you a comic book fan in any way before directing Batman?
A: I had read and been impressed by some comic books as a child. But I would never claim to be a comic book fan because i don't have the depth of knowledge or history with the medium that implies

Q: Is the argument between Batman and the Joker a metaphor for God and the Devil?
A: I think the Joker is a very effective representative of evil. But i think that Batman is very much a human being.

Confirms that Dent is dead.

Q: Do you think Batman is responsible for Harvey Two-Face's death?
A: I feel that Dent's fall from grace is complete - he has doomed himself. Batman's physical actions at the end are necessary to save the child. I think that dent's fate stems from his own psyche.

Any projects he's currently working on: I am currently working on several projects. Including one sccript of my own that I have been writing for many years now.

Another 5 minute break: I gotta pee, it is a 2-pee movie. I need to make a shorter film next time.

Some of these questions are so stupid. "Why aren't the rest of my questions being answered?" Really?

Oooh, maybe it's the Howard Hughes biopic. Damn you Scorcese! :cmad:

Q: The destruction of the signal is emotional. What are your thoughts?
A: The destruction of the signal is a powerful symbol. And one we knew from an early stage we wanted to have in the film.

Final monologue was the first thing conceived but didn't write until he was in pre-production.

Enjoyed the screening, and thanked everybody for supporting the film.

argh! I asked 2 questions and they never went through!!!

I submitted 5 or 6 several times and none went through. And these were questions by someone who probably read everything on the movie I could. :woot:
