Wilson Morales at BlackFilm.com had a chance to talk to actress Beau Garrett at the junket for the Fox Atomic thriller Turistas, and he asked her about playing the Human Torch's gal Frankie Raye in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

You can read what she said at the link, but just in case SHH readers still don't think they're opinions are heard, check out what she told him:

For a while, I went to the website, www.superherohype.com that's very devoted to it and I've learned a lot about her and the characters and what people have written. I just looked at the website and found a lot about the character.

Nice job, as always, to our readers for being so knowledgable and informative!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm aroused.

Cool!

"She then becomes a superhero so I've been told. It doesn't happen in the film."

That answers that question.

Oh, I think I saw her...

She must be the blonde girl in the military suit, in the nightclub scene. Chris was talking to her before she got into a military jeep. Very pretty girl, delicate features.

She....She comes here?

Nice to see our little gang on this board getting props.

And to think some believe we don't matter in the scheme of things. ;)

YAY WE ARN'T IGNORED!!!!!

THIS IS FANBOY HEAR ME ROAR!!

:p

lol

I hope she doesn`t become galactus` next herald.

To give silver surfer pathos and angst terax has to be the next one. So that the surfer is stuck being happy he saved eareth but devastated that a far more vicious herald is around because of his decision to side against galactus.

After surfer takes terax down then ther room is left open for frankie or whoever to be a herald.

curious...what information was she getting from which threads? I'm glad she got a little feedback and gave SHH a shout out...but I don't see a real informative thread on Frankie anywhere.

lol
Ms.Garrett just scored some major points with this site.:woot: If she's any good in FF2 i hope they bring her back to explore the Nova storyline.

/Agree.

To see Frankie become Nova in say the next movie after this one would be a fantastic experience on the big screen.

Thats pretty cool we get both Alba and Garrett in this next movie, a double reason to go see it :)

Well, I don't think this is the Silver Surfer trilogy, so the liklihood of seeing Terax or having a need to develop Surfer's angst is VERY unlikely...

I'd settle for Frankie becoming the next herald... actually, that'd be kinda hot.

Beau Garrett Discusses "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer"

While doing the press tour for the horror/thriller Turistas, Beau Garrett confirmed she’s definitely part of the cast of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the sequel to the 2005 hit film. Garrett joins Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis who are all back onboard as members of the Fantastic Four, a team of superheroes who must save the world from destruction.

Garrett plays Frankie Raye in FF2 which hits theaters in June 2007. “Frankie Raye is a military brat that works under General Hager, who is played by Andre Braugher,” explained Garrett. “They come in to collaborate with the Fantastic Four to help stop these occurrences that are keeping, or putting, the world at stake. So she’s a very thick-skinned, tough character who grew up in the military. He’s kind of a father figure to her, and she has this love interest with Johnny Storm. She’s a cool character. She’s human under all the exterior. She’s got a good side that I think comes out in the film.”

You can expect to see Garrett involved in a little of the action in Rise of the Silver Surfer. “I got to hold a gun, which I thought was really exciting.” Garrett added, “I haven’t done it yet.”

Although Garrett’s not sure if her character will be in any future Fantastic Four movies, if she is included she may get to show off her secret powers. Garrett said, “The character does, in the comic, she does end up having super powers. I don’t know what they’re going to do with that in the film. In this film, she doesn’t. But who knows what they’ll do with it.”

Is this new?

At least she gave valid info! I can wait! I wonder who she is.
