Thanks that's very kind of you to say.

I always hold comments like yours in a special place because when someone doesnt like the Begins suit but is nice enought to comment on my work just the same it really is flattering. Thanks once again.

I had a few other suits to finish up in the last few weeks (custom and not Bat related) so now that they're all out of the way I can get back to work on this particular project.

Once again expect to see regular updates.

In the meantime here's a few pics of the chest piece in it's current state. I brought it to the Michigan prop party along with a bunch of other stuff I've been working on.

It was nice to talk to people about this project and get their reactions in person. I wonder if anyone here made it out to the show?

That Punisher vest is awsome.

I should point out that all the Jason and horror stuff, Cobra commander and Darkness (comic book guy) chrome face masks with green lenses were made by my friend Emerson/Badlove.
My stuff was the superhero and leather stuff...the comic spawn head was his and the movie spawn suit is my work.

He's a real talent and a great friend.

You saw more of the ribs there because I no longer photoshop out some of the details when I post my work......:)
I'm a sneaky bugger.....

Why would one wish omit such details?

This suit has become a key piece in my portfollio. It's not for sale and never will be. I just want to make it as accurately as I can. If 'as accurately as I can' means it'll be real close, spot on or totally off...well I'll leave that to you all to judge.:)

Still....getting the details right was a labour of love...and not easy. Pulled a few strings to get proper imput and that also was not easy. As a restult I've been altering and omitting some details whenever I posted progress pics.
I wanted to show the finished suit and it to be a surprise as to how it was progressing. Still...funny story here....simply because there rarely are any secrets in the internet world but it seems that some banded together to come see this in person with the specific intention of copying it....LOL. Super close up photos of all details and so on were taken.
Seeing as I had it on display I really dont have anything really to hide...and the parts that were missing...all the additions to the chest I did not bring along.
So now I dont mind showing it openly without making changes to it.
It doesnt bother me in the least and I find it flattering.

Again...I just want to do a good job on this. You guys have always been very kind to me here and I hope that soon enough you'll all be equally impressed with it when it's done.

Nah...I'm one of those who usually gets fished into buying swamp land in Florida......

David

Hey, I know this guy who has some ocean front land in Arizona he keeps trying to sell me. seriously though, Bejermo(sp) and you might be working on something together? Comgrats man, can't wait!!

I have to commend you on your other work David. ALL of the work on display in those photos is top notch, the Wolverine costume looks to be an EXACT replica of what was used in the movie...I still don't know how you do it, and do it so well.

I think we're all eagerly awaiting final pics of the batsuit, but most can agree with me that even if it takes another 6 months it would be ok because as we all know...perfection takes time.

Your work is great, and a true inspiration to anyone that wants to work in that field...if you work long and hard enough you can do just about anything, even copy something as intricuit as the bat-suit. Great work, keep it up and I CAN'T WAIT to see the final pics....sorry that was the fanboy in me.

First off David...YOU DA MAN!!!...Love all of them,..especially the Cobra Commando Mask brought to life.. Love the paint job on the Predator Face!.perfection at its finest :p Very Nice Predo-Suit..again..all complements.
Forgot..Love what you are doing with Wolverine's mask..the comic book approach but still based in Singer's World...Love It Love It Love It

YOu are incredibly, insanely, talented.

...looking for an understudy?

We're getting there guys....looks like I'm just about ready for the second mold....BIG SMILE on my face now. I've been working on this for so long I feel as if I'm giving birth.

Here's a cool comparison pic of one of the new released photos from IESB.net and my chest piece..

originalchest.jpg

And mine that I'm hoping will look like a brother from another mother.....:)
IM004135.jpg

The only difference really is due to my life cast. I had to sculpt the bicepts slightly facing outward rather than pointing inward like seen above...still, it SHOULD look good once it's all on and with some luck it'll be convincing too.

David

Amazing work man. Can't wait to see it with the Bat Symbol on

It's so great to see your sculpt and the real deal in the exact same "pose". Great work.
