Any chance of seeing some pics of the back of your cowl. Just seen the clip from ET(about a second) of Batman from behind and looks as though the cowl has a big crease around the back just above the neck.

I am redoing my cowl and also doing the belt and suit. The suit is a mission but going from belt to suit helps when i get frustrated with the form of the sculpt of the suit.

David, any new modifactions to the sculpt? Really looking forward to anything you turn out now. ......... Did you get the boots custom made or was it just an off-the-shelves-buy?

EDIT:

I like how much the suit is revealed in this pic. You get a great look at the gaunlets and the airated gloves... possibly matching the boots.

Well you certainly wont have to hold your breath much longer I'll tell you that..

This costume is for me....no one else. I'm the one who's going to be wearing it and I'm certainly not getting paid by anyone to make it. I know it's much more exciting when there's more to it than it just being a personal project but unfortunately that's all this is....simply a pesonal project for myself because I'm a huge Bat Geek!

I had them make the boots as you see them above. The boots in those photos are actully my personal boots. I have them here. We were working together on the distribution of these boots but... no longer, so if anyone needs a set you need to contact them and set it up.

I am looking forward to seeing what you guys think of my suit once it's all set up!!!!!!

Hope the suit is going well. I thought I would let you know if you did'nt already that their is a great picture floating around of the back of the cowl and you can clearly see that the neck at the back goes down the back alot more than the front. It also shows how the head is more like a helmet at the back.

Yes, I've made mine much like what's seen in that pic although that photo because of the lighting is very deceptive.
I went looking for some pics of the sculpt to show what my backside looks like and found this one..it's wasnt quite finished at this point but it does show the profile much more than any other I've shown so far.

Once again...this is an OLDER sculpt pic. I really want the next pics I post to be the ones you've all been waiting for so for now this is all I will show...

BTW I really liked your cowl and understand you're also making a new one now. Looking forward to seeing it.

Love the suit, good job man. I know your planning on wearing it opening night.......you are going to shave the stache aren't you? I mean it would kind of take away from all the hard work you've put into the suit.

Forgive the high gloss shine to it. I must use high gloss so that it highlights any imperfections that needed to be sanded out.

Of course the costume will be done in flat black...this is just another progress pic to show just how much is involved in making this darn suit.
