From this angle I see more Bejermo than Begins. And that's not necessarily a bad thing

I totally agree, the sculpt looks superb but the end result is poor. If they left the colouring as the same or plain black and trimmed the size so not so BUFF then they would have an excellent costume. I really like the cowl very MANGA.

I can never remember how to spell Bermejo's name (and you'd be surprised how many google hits there are for Bermejo under the mis-spelling Bejermo).

wow, it looks to me as though the costume is based on this guy's art,and that pic of batman grabbing the guy with the gun reminds me of detective comics No. 27. wouldn't it be cool if one of the begins theatrical posters was of bale's bat eenacting the scene on detective comics No.27

Not exactly... Anime is Japanese animation, manga is Japanese comic books (which has a graphical style and way of storytelling distinct from American and other comic books). That distinction being made, I believe it would be acceptable to say that both anime and manga are similar in overall style to the extent that if your are familiar with one then you have the gist of the other.

It's certainly a pretty unique cowl that has potential, but needs a little refinement. Good general shape though, and nothing like the Begins one, and not much like any of the other films' also.

It looks like The Hulk stole Batman's cowl.

now a better pic is online of the suit and cowl, I can carry on my work. I have started on the belt sculpt and will be adding pics to my gallery overnight(GMT).

I cowl I started doing will need to be modified quite a bit. As for the suit thats way off yet probably mid 2005, I am a busy man and this is a slow process.

ps anyone in England know a good supplier of oil based clay.

It's one of my long term goals. I actually started one last year but had to modify it into a totally different sculpt.

As for the Begins sculpt...Halloween is almost over....thank goodness and then I can get back to sculpting again.
With the release of the new Begins pic I'll more than likely be able to finish this chest piece by the first or second week of Nov. I havent touched the sculpt in about a month.
I've been running around like a madman trying to get everything done and out on time for the big day and took a pretty nasty fall down all the stairs leading to my basement yesterday. Ouch!!!....I'm pretty busted up now. Cant move my head, left arm, my back is shot and my right ankle kills...not to mention how bad my a$$ hurts...LOL. Oh well, at least I saved my knees......Probably wont even suit up for Halloween which really wont be soo bad because I need the rest anyhow.

Ouch did it look anything like Samual L. Jackson's fall in Unbreakable? For some reason that scene always cracks me up with the way it's in slow motion and him yelling. You should go see a chyropractor they've always helped me with any type of injury.
