I think they should tried having a leather outfit is this one, because it is probably lighter, more flexible, and it looked good in Daredevil. And that jacket in the other post looks pretty sweet.

OK...got the first master pull from the mold.

Ultracal 30 stone which I will now sand to a glass smooth finish before proceeding to the next stages of the suit and the next molding process...we've got a few molds to get through before I get to the fiberglass final....and foam latex costume pieces...

So far so good.
It's been a busy week.......

David, that is amazing. But tell me, what stage is that in the process? And where is the symbol? And what was that other cray thing that you sculpted that had the symbol? Please tell me, I'm a sculpting newbie.

OK the grey progress pics I've been posting were of the actual clay sculpture.
I was only sculpting the bat on the chest to be sure of the overall proportions of the peck area.
When I was satisfied with the proportions, angles and details I removed the bat and made my mold.
Now I cast up a plaster like material from that mold so I can sand down real smooth..then add the bat on, then make a whole new mold.......this is a long process but I plan to do this one by the book and the end result should be a pretty similar looking suit.....eh, at least that's what I'm hoping for..

No it's molded on....mine will be also...I'll be adding it once I've sanded the whole thing smooth. It will be in the new mold and subsequently in the final costume piece.

This was just the first step in a 3 step molding process......There's much more to this than just this first stone pull..but, as usual I'll keep you guys posted..
