Being single sucks

But it's true though, about the first sentence. People are marrying later, thus having kids later by extension. Having to establish a career, if they still want to marry, is usually a major citation.

And sometimes even then, when you do have kids, you may be restricted to how many you can have kids because of financial concerns.

there needs to be a blance... that's forsure... but, considering how dirt poor me and my wife was when we had our child... and how hard work, and dedication has turned our lives around.... I look back, and realized that there's no reason to not have kids, or atleast one....

I was a intern making 10 bucks an hour when we had our child.... and, 2 years later.... I now am on the verge of making nearly 100k a year.... will that happen to everyone... no... but the truth is, even when i was making nothing, i would have never gone back and put that condom on... we made it work, we had to sacrafice... but seeing his face every morning was better then having a 2nd degree right then, or driving around in a new car...

and now, I have a new car, lol

Dude, I don't even have a job yet. Hell, I'm finally beginning to do my own laundry at 22...at 22...and damn, does it feel good. But I don't care for folding, **** that. Work clothes, fine, but home clothes can be wrinkled as hell.

dude, you need to move up here to milwaukee.... I'll get you a job, and kick your butt into shape..... lol...

Yes - sure having no money doesn't necessarily stop you, in fact it can drive you to provide for your family, and you can build from there. Just saying that those people who marry later, make a conscious decision to concentrate on their career or traveling or whatever it is they do.

By the way, that's a great short autobiography. LOL. I really understand the love one has for the kids, I really do. I just will have to make do with our own dog LOL.

Wooptie crap, you had a kid when you were poor.

and not for one second did I say "we can't afford it, we need to have an abortion".... but I'm just saying also, that money doesn't matter when it comes to having a child..... maybe when it comes to having mulitple children....

Well i dunno, I wouldn't want to have a kid if I was financially unstable.

I'd want to be able to provide my kid with a great life. Not flat out spoil them (i ****ing hate spoilt children) but I think it's a little unfair to bring a kid into the world into poverty.

i'm young too... he's 2 years old... .and I'm 25 right now.... so, roughly, I'll be 41 or so when he's done with HS.... still plenty of time to travel and do all that stuff....

I look forward too 10 years from now... take him on some bada$$ vacations....

I don't even pay my own phone...and it's...:awesome:...$75 a month. I only use it for time, ringtones, calculator, alarm clock, ringtones, texting, followed by ringtones, and another healthy dose of ringtones. I share minutes with my Mum, but we probably both get our own tracphones soon.

But I do love my ringtones...maybe when I get a job, I can buy a iPhone. Not for texting or talking to losers(people) but :awesome: for games and awesome apps.

Actually money does matter with raising a kid. Since friends and family can only cover so much.

While I have a good paying job to support myself, I know that I'd be hurting financially if I had to raise a kid. Since I'm fine with the hours I work plus the relaxing time off I have, I will not give that up for any child.

we didn't plan on it... no way..... we were engaged, and she missed a couple days worth of BC..... but, even knowing how we didn't have money at the time... an abortion never crossed either of our minds.... we played an adult game, now we have the adult consquences, persay....

but, it made we get my act together fast... no more weed... preasured my boss into giving me a full-time position.... and got me to save money....

and I got it turned around in two years.... that first year he was born was sad.... my parents had to buy us formula and groceries.... but, we got through it, and now, things are pretty damn good

how much do you think it costs? It's not that much... a dog costs more then a baby.....

ETM you've got it easy man. I better not see you complaining about anything on here! :argh:

;)

Yes like Billy said, if it was unplanned, you'd want to keep the kid(s) around. And even more so if you're able to have the support of family and friends behind you.

Still, I do understand why people want to abort, as long as they have good reasons. I have a friend whose friend has a kid that was born out of rape, but that the kid doesn't know about it, and rightly so. It would be hard for the mother to be reminded simultaneously of the circumstances surrounding her rape, but also of the positives in bringing a child into the world through hardship. I think it'd be an interesting position for the mother and kid though.

Yea man **** that.

It's all cool being a bachelor. But what about having kids? Spreading your seed? When you die, that's it, you won't leave anyone behind to carry on your name or whatever.

That's pretty sad I think.

No kids for me. I have no desire to spread seeds at all. There're too many people on this planet anyway.

good for you then....most people in that position don't have anyone to help out....

I am literally on my own, my family isn't going to help if I get into any trouble, so I have to be very disciplined with my money and budget everything...Im actually trying to buy some property in the next 3 or 4 years...be it a small home or a condo or something

:woot: I know. It's a used phone since I had two from AT&T that got wet at work. It locked up on me yesterday. Besides, the cell phone was a gift from me mum. I never want one as I don't give a **** about talking to people over the phone. I could buy a tracphone and buy 120 minutes...that would be good for like 6 months for me (if texting no take up minutes that is)

Ace of Knaves, I only complain about being jobless and lonely, but I am working on that. Also, I'm not as lonely as I once was. And yes, I'm kinda like a big baby.

A dog does? Really?

my sister has two gorgious silver labs... and those sucks eat a ton, and the vet bills are giant.....

my son gets his shots (insurance covers), drinks milk, and juice... and basically eats what we eat for dinner..... oh, and he loves chicken nuggets.... it's not that much more money.....

yeah, you got the clothes to buy him.... but, relatives buy so much during holidays and birthdays, you rarely spend more then 100 a season on new clothes....

diapers can be alot though... 20 bucks every other week...

Nobody dies with the preordained intent of wanting anyone to carry on their name. They just die, as long they're loved. That's it!

I mean, seriously, what if the child turns out to be gay? Or doesn't have kids? The line would stop there for sure, lol.
