Scott Pilgrim and Kick-Ass were my favorites. The Losers was pretty entertaining for what it was also. I haven't seen Red yet. For the poll I'll roll with KA. IM2 was so underwhelming. It wasn't terrible, but it's just so damn forgettable. It came and went honestly.

Kick-Ass.

The rest don't even come close.

Same here. This was a bad year for comic book movies. I may be in the minority, but Scott Pilgrim felt like torture to me. I was just waiting for that to be over so I could leave the theater. Losers was forgettable, Jonah Hex was so bad it was funny and I never saw Red.
Iron Man 2 wasn't awful, just disapointing. But I at least enjoyed Kick-Ass.

Weird, I felt it was an amazing year for comic movies.

I would love to know how Jonah Hex has a vote but The Losers doesnt, Losers was at least enjoyable, JH was just terrible.

Iron Man 2 and Kick Ass

The rest were hot garbage

I'm not sure what happened but I was happy with Favreau directing IM2. Maybe he was forced with all the Avengers stuff but IM2 was not the fun adventure the first was, not by far. Even the action was little and average. But I thought that maybe he would be given more freedom if he directed 3. Now I'll never know. But if every Marvel movie is going to be Avengers-oriented then I have lost my interest in anything Marvel. :csad:
This is one of those few times in which we agree.

^And I agree with both of you, I still like and can watch the movie, but IMO all the ingredients were there for it to be challenging the likes of TDK, X2 and Spidey 2 as the best comic book movie ever, something obviously went wrong otherwise Favreau wouldnt have left IM3 so hastily.

There was barely any Avengers references in the movie, add it all up and it's barely over 2 minutes.

What hurt the film was them shoehorning in War Machine. That hurt the film more than anything.

I still to this day dont get why IM2 wasnt at least as long as IM1 though, IM2 needed more than an extra 8 mins, but even this would have at least helped, I just done get why they made the movie shorter than the first when it had A LOT more to deal with which everyone could see from early on.

My God you're right. And I swear I felt it longer. Thought it was one of those 2 hours 15 to 30 minutes superhero movies.

Probably just felt longer because not much happened for a lot of the movie, and when we did get to some action it just wasnt satisfactory.

I heard Favs. was gonna give us a 30 minute extended cut....is this as true as SM3.1 and TIH's 70+ minute cut?:csad:

Wtf? IM2 (124 mins) was only about a minute shorter than the first (125 mins). You get a different copy than everyone else?

Favreau said from the very begining it wasn't going to be longer than the first.

What would've helped it more would more was giving Whiplash and Hammer more screentime and not try to focus on Rhodey and his War Machine subplot.

Doesnt look like we are getting it, imagine Fav's would be too busy to do one for a while as well.

I must have got a different copy as the IM1 blu-ray says 126 mins and the IM2 one says 119 mins, so sorry I was a minute out.

Favreau also said that IM1 would be a 90 minute action movie but changed this considerably during production, probably saw the movie needed more breathing space, so why he didnt see it with IM2 (or wasnt allowed too) I dont know.

Also, funnily enough, I thought Rhodey's sub plot should also have been given more time and definately a bit more explanation also.

You got the lol PAL version.

I vote for Kick-Ass. Although Scott Pilgrim is a extremely close second favorite.
Haven't watch the other movies yet but not planning to watch it anytime soon.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Without question.

IM2 felt like F4 ROTSS to the first IM in comparsion. IMO, at least. I cannot bring myself to look at IM2 again. It's that weak. Favreau should've backed out on IM2 because of the short deadline. But I guess he thought he could pull a Raimi on Spidey 2.

Both Favraeu and Raimi (on Spidey 3) didn't learn from this if the studio won't give you enough breathing space to do what you want. Then walk away. It'll save you and the fans from a lot of disappointment. IMO.
