If anything which is your favorite Die Hard film in the whole Die Hard franchise of films? Explain why

Die Hard with a Vengeance was the best Die Hard out of the 5 movies in the franchise because here you have John McClane this time with a sidekick that being Zeus Carver, Samuel L Jackson's character who is able to match wits with McClane not only personality wise but also banter wise too and not to mention here you have the perfect villain in Hans Gruber's brother Simon

I also vote for Die Hard With a Vengeance.

Jeremy Irons was a brilliant villain and I liked the team up of Willis and Jackson.

I like the first 2 Die Hard movies the best. I like it better when he goes it alone than when he has a sidekick. I also like McClane's personality the best in the first two movies.

Die Hard With a Vengeance... just over the first movie.

Die Hard with a Vengeance
Live Free or Die Hard
Die Hard 2
A Good Day to Die Hard

Die Hard and DH: With a Vengeance are tied for me. Both films have great villains.

Die Hard is easily one of the top 3 action movies of all time. In fact, if you told most people it was the best few people would argue with you.

A distant second is Die Hard With A Vengence which is still great. The movie has lots of fun and memorable moments.

Die Hard 2 gets points for the "grenade in the cockpit" scene and nostalgia but that's it.

Die Hard 4 lacks the John McClane we knew and love or a scene stealing villain.

I didn't watch Die Hard 5. Jai Courtney as a McClane? No thanks.

A Good Day to Die Hard aka Die Hard 5: I'm on Vacation won't get any votes.

I like part 3 because of the New York atmosphere.

The ending could have been better though

I finally got around to seeing part 4. Not bad but you really have to suspend your belief

Part 5 I tried to watch but the cable signal was weak and it kept cutting in and out.

As with all of these franchise polls, my opinion is that the original is always the best, and the others drop in quality with each succession. It doesn't matter if the movie in question is Die Hard, Scream, Friday The 13th, Indiana Jones, or Police Academy. The higher the number, the lower the quality.

The first hands down. I actually hate the 3rd, I don't care for it much.

Die Hard is the only one that's really good, but Vengeance at the least tries to be different.

There was supposed to be an early draft of a sixth film in which John McClane goes to Nakatomi headquarters in Japan. But nothing new came about that script.

The first one was amazing. I loved everything about it.

My fav line:

The first one easily. But With a Vengeance was a very worthy sequel.

Seems like the only good ones to me all involved someone in the Gruber family.

I will say Die Hard 4.0 would have been greater had they not whimped out with the lower rating and steered cleared of the CG crap. The fact his catch phrase was censored really pissed me off when I saw it. Another thing that bugs me though is about the title of 4.0 in North America - "Live Free or Die Hard". I really don't understand the point of the title, Die Hard 4.0 as it was called everywhere else make sense within the context of the film, so I'm baffled why it was called something else for the US.

The first one easily, it's one of the best action films ever, With a Vengeance is fun, but it's nearly on the same level.
