What movies do you think had the best endings ever?
The Fountain- It was absouletly amazing; the score, the acting, special effects, everything!
Usual Suspects- After the ending I couldn't believe what just happened I rewatched that part like five times.
Unbreakable- Really powerful and wonderfully done.

See the true ending of Butterfly Effect, definitely gives the film a much better and darker quality.

He goes back and prevents himself from ever being born.

Too bad the test audiences had to screw that up by writing that they didn't like it. It was a very risky and amazing move.

I actually prefer the theatrical ending. The ambiguity of it is what I actually find darker in quality. The problem I found with the "original" ending was

Showing us how great Kayleigh's life was if Evan had never been born, whereas the original ending has Evan see her on the street when they're both much older, and while there's an inkling in his head that he still knows and remembers her, he realizes that whoever she is, it doesn't matter, and he makes the choice to live without her.

I LOVEd the ending of Ghost Rider. I couldn't wait for the ending, and when it came I thought, "Thank goodness this is the end!"

To me one of the best endings in a movie or at least that i can remember as of this moment. Then Ending of Saw,I just about droped a load when I saw Jiggs get up off the floor, and seeing Adams expression was priceless..
Also, I think Sixth Sence/village(okay,this maybe stretching it,but Im easily amused), had good endings..

hell yeah!

for all its faults, Supreman Returns had a really great ending, very touching.

there's like a dozen films i've seen that had a remarkable ending. let me try to recall them.

Silent Hill, by far. Mysterious, and leaves room for a sequel without being an outright cliffhanger.

The Prestige, Spider-Man 3, and Pan's Labyrinth are all tied for second place.

Star Wars Episode III has an amazing ending. It gives a sense of rising darkness in the galaxy that makes you wanna see what happens next.

V for Vendetta has a great ending as well.

agree in The Prestige and Revenge of the Sith

I am 100 percent serious, Blades of Glory has the best ending in movie history...imo

The Long Good Friday. Definitely. Few come close.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly aswell.

Ya,
Silent Hill had a good ending. I thought ending of Sith was weak imo..They cut up the final fight too much, and vaders little anger in the recovery room was laughable at best..imo..
I also thing Dawn of the Dead(new version),had a good ending. Wasn't your typical happy ending(if ya watched the ending credits)...

Guess some notable good endings for me:

LoTr:return of the king,T2,devinci code,T1,Aliens...I'm sure theres alot more endings I consider real good, just can't think of them right now

You know what, I just recently bought it on DVD and the ending of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is really beautiful.

It totally took me by surprise in the cinema as I expected Judgement Day to be stopped again but when John Connors and Sarah Bruster start hearing the cries for help on the radio in that bunker, then the beautiful score starts and we see the missiles being fired - it's just a gorgeous sequence, really emotional and a really somber and melodramatic way to end the movie. Powerful stuff!

I really like the cliffhanger endings of FotR, TESB, AotC and RotS.

Almost all PotA's have good ones too.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Shawshank Redemption yet.
Awesome, truly awesome.

I also agree with Saw 1's ending being great too.

The ending to 'Batman and Robin' literally brought a lump to my throat...because i couldn't believe how low the franchise had sunk. :o

the best ending of all time is Blade Runner,

the music by Vangelis is simply from another planet in that scene

Simply immense.

Blade Runner.

"Like tears in the rain. Time to die.."

Awesome.

Unbreakable- Really powerful and wonderfully done.
That's the Bruce Willis/Samuel L. Jackson flick right?

One of the worst endings to a movie I've ever seen. Definately. :down

Batman Begins...

"Take this guy; armed robbery, double homicide... has a taste for the theatrical... like you" - Gordon
+Joker card
"I'll look into it" - Batman

..."I never said (Thank You)."

..."And, you'll never have to."

BATMAN BEGINS

it is just amazing!

I don't see why people hate this movie so much? I think it's great.
