I am curious, we have gotten 5 hasbro comic book movies so far, meaning the characters had comic books based on them as well so this is not including Battleship, and the majority of them have been that well received by fans and yet plenty of people like them as well and they have all been successful to varying degrees, which one do people think has been the best so far?

I have liked them all to varying degrees myself, mostly as dumb fun movies I can just sit there and watch while turning my brain off. But, Transformers 1 I still count as a genuinely good movie and very good blockbuster, so that get my vote, what is yours guys and gals?

My favorite is G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra!

Scarlett and Baroness sold the movie for me!

I really want to say "they all suck" but i understand they have their fans. I have seen only the first two Transformers and Rise of Cobra and i am neither a Transformers fan (except from the excellent 80s animated movie) and I am not american so i didn't know who the GI Joes were till i was a bout 16 so i can't say i have an affection for either franchise. Anyhow i enjoyed Rise of Cobra a lot more than i did Transformers, less noisy and more dumb fun with lots of pop corn and a couple of friends.

Gi Joe TROC is the only one I really enjoyed.Retaliation was pretty good. The Transformers films were OK.(haven't seen the third)

Transformers 2007.....pretty simple story, only a few robots, and not too much
of Shia LaBoef being .....Shia LeBoef. It was sort of the pacific rim of its time,
a guilty pleasure, a few laughs, good special effects, lots of action.

Where Michael Bay goes wrong is when he does those big action sequences that are really chaotic (in transformers 2 and 2) , what made Pacific Rim so amazing is that it was just one-on-one robot mayhem -easy to follow.

Gi-Joe: rise of Cobra was good fun too, didn't take itself as seriously as the sequel which was just **** really. Too many weird characters and ridiculous set pieces.
The first movie was straight out of the old tv series, and like transformers a guilty pleasure.

I would say they are all guilty pleasure movies really, as for me only TF1 qualifies as actually a 'good movie.' But I have enjoyed each and every one so far, though obviously not as much as stuff like TDK, The Avengers, X2, etc, etc.

They just cant compete with movies like that but they are fun to watch. I am surprised by how many votes the 1st G.I Joe movie has already though.

I haven't seen any of the GI Joe movies yet. Are they worth watching.

I still love the TF1 to this day. Has a decent story and not a whole lot of action(which I love).

Yes. Not as good as Man of Steel but they aren't the worse movies ever.

They are worth a watch at least, they are dumb but fun at the same time. Good movies to just sit back and switch your brain off too.

I agree about TF1 as well, I still love it now as well, the sequels were okay but TF1 is the one I still watch more even now.

I liked both the GI Joe movies, although Rise of Cobra was a bit better so it gets my vote. Retaliation...was ok, but honestly it didn't even feel that connected to the original with all the missing/randomly killed off characters from the first movie, although its Cobra Commander at least generally looked better.

I don't like the Transformers movies, for most of the obvious reasons.

The first Transformers movie was pretty enjoyable so that gets my vote, but I felt they went downhill after that.

The first Transformers for me. I don't care much for the sequels and though the Rise of Cobra was awful, haven't seen Retaliation.

Yeah Retaliation did seem kind of 'off' without all of the characters from the 1st movie, it just seemed strange. Though if he brings a couple back for the 3rd movie that should make up for things a little.

The new characters seeming to have known the existing ones for years didnt really make sense either.

Actually having the characters killed off from the first movie increases my interest greatly lol. I despised Tatum and Wayans as the lead roles. Dennis Quaid and Eccleston were my favorite parts of The Rise of Cobra. I have interest in Retaliation just because I like The Rock/Bruce Willis alot more than the two duds from the first film.

^But in fairness Tatum was starting to look comfortable in the role of Duke in the sequel just when they killed him off, it just seemed silly to me.

I do like The Rock and of course Bruce Willis so the sequel had my interest, but in all fairness I am interested in this franchise because of the Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow show. They are by far the best characters in both movies for me.

The first Transformers & GI Joe: Retaliation are the only two I liked. Both solid action flicks.

I'd say the first Transformers is the best. It's a solid action-adventure flick. I also found Transformers: Dark of the Moon and G.I. Joe Retaliation to be enjoyable.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have their moments, but are both pretty bad for the most part.

When did Hasbro become a comic book company?

I just despise Tatum lol. I haven't seen Retaliation yet but I plan on checking it out...eventually.

Well they are not but their properties have amazing comic books that dwarf their cartoons and movies IMO. Transformers and GIJoe make better comics than they did anything else. As much as I enjoy the 80s cartoons these properties have become legendary comic books.

I used to hate him myself, but after 21 Jump Street and his cameo in This Is The End I began to like him a lot more. If it means anything he isnt in Retaliation much so you may enjoy that more than the 1st movie.

Definitely, I have only read a few GIJ TPB's (best of Snake Eyes and best of Storm Shadow) but they were damn good, really enjoyed them. The Transformers comics I have read a lot of and they are amazing, the more of them they get into the movies the better.

Besides the Snake Eyes action scenes and the hotness of Adrianne Palicki, the only other thing that was good was The Rock and Tatum interactions. They killed off Duke right when he was putting in some character. Too bad cause Duke and Roadblock exchanges were actually entertaining. It hurt the flick getting rid of Tatum imo. Especially after 21 Jump Street, where hes proven to deliver an entertaining performance and audiences were more accepting.

I thought Retaliation was a much bigger mess then Rise Of Cobra. They also should have brought back Scarlet.

I agree, Tatum was just starting to feel like a good Duke in the sequel and then they killed him off, didnt make sense and it hurts the movie IMO. The sequel was okay, but I still prefer the 1st movie overall.

Seems they have realised their mistake though as there are now mumblings of Duke coming back in the 3rd movie.
