I voted for Cap, X-men and Spidey but I agree all 3 trilogies have weak links.

Pretty much expected Cap's trilogy to win the poll but First Avenger bores me to tears and, coincidentally was the only MCU film I didn't watch in theatres (I was traveling).

Cap’s Trilogy is the only one that managed to successfully swing upward as it progressed; the fact that The First Avenger is the most mediocre of them while still being pretty watchable is as much a testament to how far they had to go, and to how well TWS and CW managed to be.

I think I might argue TWS was a better film than CW... but CW is for all intents and purposes an excellent Avengers 2.5 film, still primarily focuses on Cap, so it’s not so much that it’s a lesser film than TWS as much as it’s a different kind of good film.

I actually liked TFA so my money (literally) is basically on Cap. In fact, I think it's one of the best origin MCU stories (though, I rather liked them all). He went from the skinny kid who would, to the buffed out hero constrained, to breaking those bonds, to the SH out of time. I thought it was a rather interesting arc for a single movie.

There weren't really that many flat out origin movies. The ones that are coming to mind are sort of pseudo origins that don't really follow a linear path....and that's okay too.

TWS and CW knew what to mine for greater resonance with Cap as the trilogy progressed, which is part of the reason why that film still reinstates on rewatch, even if I think th either two are better - TFA has a strong character foundation for Steve, Peggy, and Bucky, and that builds fantastically into the future movies.

Dead on. I hadn't really thought of it that way, but agree with you 100%. Overall, he's the most complex character of the original 3; if not the most entertaining.

Hmm this is hard.

-I would say Avengers is probably the most consistent
-I prefer Winter Soldier and Civil War over Avengers 1/2 but First Avenger is still one of the most blandest MCU film to date.
-X-Men and the original Spider-Man had a good 1st movie and an even better 2nd movie. But their third movie still remains to be the weakest especially when compared to other 3quels that came out since 2013.
-I don't really like Homecoming and Far from Home, but No Way Home is probably the best 3quel Marvel movie ever, and the most satisfying time I had for a 3quel.

I don't feel strongly about the trilogy for Iron Man, Thor and Guardians, though at their worst, it was never as bad as the worst Marvel movies out there. Wolverine had Origins: Wolverine. Ant-Man had Quantumania. I don't like any of the Blade movies, I would rank it as the worst Marvel trilogy ever.

I don't know, I like most of the Captain America films, but I thought the first Captain America film was a snooze. It felt too much like a GI Joe episode rather than something set in WW2 like instead of Nazis you had Hydra and they had laser guns instead of real guns. I also think as a villain, MCU Red Skull is as dull as dirt, he was an okay supporting character in Avengers Endgame, but he is boring as a villain. Comic book Red Skull is driven by hatred and bigotry, while MCU Red Skull is just another power-mad megalomaniac. I don't get that MCU Red Skull is a sinister political manipulator like 616 Red Skull is, Red Skull can twist people's fears of people who are different from them and turn them into fascists. I don't get that level of political skill from MCU Red Skull, I know why they had watered down Red Skull for the movies, but it does make him boring.

I can't give Captain America the best trilogy award if I think the first film was kinda of a dud, I did like the other two Cap films.

I still don't consider there to be any "true" trilogies within the MCU because of all the interconnectivity. Like how Steve's story arc doesn't end in Civil War, same for Tony in Iron Man 3, etc. Besides that, just like Thor, Captain America is about to not be a "trilogy" anymore. Guardians of the Galaxy is the series that feels the most like a self-contained trilogy because the third film functions as a finale but even then you need to watch Infinity War, Endgame and the Holiday Special to understand the whole picture in Vol. 3. Maybe even the beginning of Love & Thunder too if you're curious as to why Thor isn't with them anymore after Endgame.
