What horrible plan of destruction from a Marvel villain(s) do you think was the best and/or the most creative?

Thanos killing everybody just to impress a girl(death).

Dr. Doom scheme in Secret Wars.

Magneto shifting the polarity of the planet

Acts of Vengence

Infinity Gauntlet

Madylne Pryor using Cyclops son to unleash an army of Goblins across the world.

Stryfe posing as Cable an making an attempt on Professor Xavier's life

Green Goblin killing Gwen Stacy (more just being a bastard)

The Helfire Club manipulating Jean Grey against the X-Men

When ultimate Mr. Sinister pushed Xavier down the stairs.

Sublime's scheme from Morrison's New X-Men...one that began at the very dawn of life on Earth right up to hundreds of years into the future, which included infiltrating the U-Men and using Magneto's guise as Xorn to infiltrate the X-Mansion and dealing "Kick" and ultimately using Hank McCoy's body as the ultimate genetic tyrant.

QFT. Though Thanos killing everything to impress Death was pretty "evil"

Geez,I've came back to the same story over and over again, but hey,it's got everything in it and it's a classic.

In Under Siege,Baron Zemo and the Masters of Evil infiltrate the Mansion when the Avengers are completely vulnerable.Wasp was on vacation,Cap was away on a mission,Hercules was drunk,Thor was absent,Black Knight was pissed that Paladin cockblocked him and the Wasp,Monica Rambeau was somewhere having coffee, and Namor was in Atlantis.

They took out all of the defense systems and charged in like maniacs destroying everything in site.Even gave poor Jarvis the beating of a lifetime.

Also,Magneto and the Acolytes "paying their respects" at Illyana's funeral.Mags owns everyone except Bishop who ends up getting knocked out by a traitorous Colossus.Xavier and Mags have a battle ending up with Mags getting shot into space, and Xavier falling to Earth being saved by Archangel.Fatal Attraction=Best X-Story ever.

Hell yes, Under Siege was brilliant.

My favorite however is the entire basis for the Thunderbolts. New superhero team appears to fill the void of the lost heroes on Onslaught's attack, gets the love of the public and winds up being the freaking Masters of Evil in disguise.

I love me some Zemo.

When Reggie blamed Jughead for crashing Archie's jalopy!

Acts of Vengeance and the aforementioned Under Siege really show the villains putting their heads together and just plain owning the heroes.

I was shocked when I first saw that:eek: Then I laughed:D

WAAAAAAAAAA

No love for Kraven 'killing' spidey, burying him for two weeks and masquerading as him, going on to single handedly beat a foe spidey wasn't able to and mocking spidey in the face for doing it.

It was soooo good, the dude had to kill himself afterward, he no longer had a reason to live.

Now THAT's what i call a scheme.

Pretty much anything DOOM's involved in.

i was going to say Thunderbolts premise as well

The funny thing is, I bought the book, read it half assed...and thought to myself "Ohhh, look, a bunch of new heroes all using their powers and calling each other their code names so we get to know them. How original."

Then I got to the end, stood up and said "WHAT?" And I had to reread the damn thing. Such a WOW moment.

Fools! How dare you forget the ingenius scheming of... CHAIRMAN!

The Ock/Owl gang war arc in SSM, where Doc Ock wanted to prove a point. He wanted to prove that he was the most dangerous man alive by killing everyone in New York,by blowing it up with a neutron bomb.

Fantastically twisted.Loved it.And he beat the living hell out of Black Cat and the Owl in the process

I wouldn't say it's the greatest of all time, but the whole "Magnetic North" arc in UXM was pretty cool. The way Magneto used everyone to get out of the Triskelton was pure genius. He's by far the best written villian in the Ultimate MU. And Stryfe plot to get back at his "parents" in The X-Cutioner's Song tops my list too

Not necessarily the best villain scheme but one that might have the bad guys going 'damn, I wish I could have done that' is Thor reigning over the earth for a couple of hundred years.

It wasn't born out of evil intention but if Loki thought it was cool it deserves some credit!

Geldoff blowing cars up to look cool...oh wait...that wasn't a good scheme.:( :D

Not that much scheming is behind it, but I'd say Surtur's plan. Because we all know Surtur does win in the end, no question.

Also, everybody else already said everything good.

Masters Of Evil disguised as heroes (Thunderbolts) = Best Vllain Scheme Of All Time!

Easily Sublime's plot that endured through millenia, it was masterful in the extreme, clever and caustic to extremes. You know you're badass when the Phoenix has to talk to other Phoenix vessels and ask ADVICE on how to repair the damage you've done. I've yet to see anything to match that type of genuis, although Thanos' plot had a elegant simpicity.
