What are some of the best movie based games?

Spider-man 2
Spider-man
Star Wars Episode 1: Racer
Ghostbusters The Game{most likely}
24 The Game

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is hands down, the best game based on a movie license, ever. This could change come June 16th with Ghostbusters, but right now, no movie licensed game tops Butcher Bay.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is another solid title based of a movie license. That game really captured the character of Wolverine like no other game before it.

Never played The Chronicles of Riddick. Someone explain to me the gameplay in a nutshell. I heard the shooting isn't quite good; if true then i don't think I could enjoy this game since shooting is the best part for me in a first-person perspective.

It completely re-invents the first person game. You have to escape from a prison so it ain't all about shooting. It's a mix of shooting, stealth, RPG elements. It's great sneaking through a air duct, jumping down behind someone and stabbing them in the spine! :D

And there is a part in it where you have bare knuckle fights in the prison. And another part where you get into this big ED-209 esque robot and go round splatting people with a mini gun! It's truly brilliant. And the graphics still hold up today.

^^Are the fights in first-person too?

How much shooting and how much stealth? In percentage wise.

Thanks in advance.

Yea everything is in first person.

You know like most first person games when you look down there is no feet? Well in Riddick you see everything.

I haven't played it in a while though, but the choice of running and gunning and stealthing it up is up to you. You can run and gun if you want, but I liked sneaking up on people :D

This was pretty much what I was going to say. Chronicles of Riddick and X-Men Origins: Wolverine are pretty much the only ones I hear about in regards to best movie based games.

However, I'd like to add the Star Wars and Indiana Jones Lego games.

Yea the Lego games are pretty cool.

I also liked Star Wars Battlefront II. That was awesome, especially when you get to play as Darth Maul!

*Spider-Man 1 & 2
*Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back, and Super Return of the Jedi
*Aladdin
*Goldeneye

Back when Capcom handled the Disney properties...they were mostly all pretty awesome.

I was thinking of only games that followed the movie storyline but I guess that doesn't work for Chronicles of Riddick.

By that rational, you could include a bunch of Star Wars games:
Dark Forces, Jedi Outkast, Jedi Academy
X-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter
Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
The Force Unleashed
Battlefront 1, 2 and Renegade
Republic Commando

Anyone here played The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King? It got high scores but does it age well?

Spider-Man 1
Spider-Man 2
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers and Return of The King
Golden Eye 64

Not in any order but those are just my personal faves.

But I'm sure Ghostbusters will surpass all of these.
