What no Love for Darkhawk's big '09??

Favorite Hero of 09-- Nova , just a solid year with plenty of great moments. Runner up, Bucky Cap. Note: although Mighty Herc is one of my favs, he doesnt get mention here as the book is more about his supporting cast....

Favorite Heroinne of 09- Moonstone/Ms.Marvel.. I got to say I love Karla's ****ty Ms. Marvel. Who hasnt she screwed?

Best Comeback of the Year- TIE Darkhawk and Quasar. He got a power boost, not to mention the right people to handle him, both artistically and writing. It wasnt perfect, but I enjoyed his role. Quasar was a bit of a surprise, while i didnt expect him to stay dead, I thought he'd be take a back seat to a genis revival. His RoK one shot was one of my favorite books of the year.

Best Book of 2009- Mine was A:TI , with Herc second.

Worst Book of 2009- A tough one, I'm gonna say Ultimatum. Just a HORRID series.

Worst Book of 2009... that I still forced myself to buy-- THOR. JMS just plain sucks, this was too slow, meandering storyline the THOR relaunch is one of the most overblown events in comic history IMO, yeah I still bought it, the art was good at least.

Biggest Story of 2009-- Marvel getting owned by DC's Blackest night. Finally Marvel gets its due. Their mishandling of events finally reached a head with REBORN and the dragging storylines around Dark Reign. I am a Marvelite for life, but i really hope Disney makes some wholesale changes. Marvel really went over the deep end with some stuff, sabotaging the perfectly viable Ultimate line, pumping out garbage like Pet Avengers, Apes etc..

BEST MINISERIES - Beasts of Burden. I LOVED this book and hope it comes back as an ongoing. It's extremely creative with beautiful artwork with a watercolor style. It has the look of a children's book but the content can be a little graphic for younger readers.

Except for Bendis as breakout writer. The guy has been around forever.

CTOAN's a diehard Daredevil fan. You can't really trust his opinion on anything.

I remember it was only a year or so ago that you would go on about Thor and everyone would point and laugh. "Yeah, ok Corp, Thor's really cool, sure he is." Those were the days.

He's from England, he started out writing music and video game reviews, his big break in comics was Phonogram, he's currently also writing SWORD and Thor, he's responsible for one of the greatest Beta Ray Bill stories ever (Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter), and he's a pretty nice guy on his blog.
