With three trilogies having been completed in the past year I thought now would be a good time for this question.

I'll give it to Thor: Ragnarok. Everyone already loved The Avengers (albeit the first more than the 2nd) but a lot were lukewarm on Thor so for the third movie to be the hit that it was both critically and commercially was a great achievement.

The Dark Knight Rises. Both an exciting, large in scope journey and a definitive finale. And one of the prettiest CBMs ever filmed.

I see Infinity War as 1/2 of a story, so my opinion of that movie will be decided officially once I see Avengers 4. Due to that fact, my vote as of today is for Captain America: Civil War. It's a great film and a wonderful end to Cap's trilogy. Some think of it as an Avengers film, but I see it firmly as a Captain America film. Yes, it has many Avengers, but it is still Cap's story. Everyone else's roles in the film are in response to Cap.

But if Avengers 4 nails it, my vote may change.

This is really difficult. It's between Civil War, Ragnarok, and Infinity War for me.

Wow, some really good competition there nowadays for third films in CBM's.

Logan - TDKR - Civil War would be my 1,2,3. Maybe IW on another few viewings might claim 3rd, not sure yet.

Would have to go with Logan. Infinity War is solid, but as has been said, it's one half of a story that will probably be concluded next year. And while Logan is in some ways a send-off to the original X-Men series starting from the first X-Men film, it's also a third in the solo films involving Wolverine.

Forgot to mention Logan. It probably won't get my vote, but it and the previous 3 I mentioned are the only ones I think are competitive.

I'd go with IW, then CW, then Ragnarok. Those 3 and Logan for me.

I'd probably go IW first and Ragnarok second.

I keep going back to watch Ragnarok. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Think I'll go with Logan. Most Movies on that list have been mediocre to terrible, are just part of a bigger story, or I didn't care for the direction they were going for, like Thor Ragnarok being a full on comedy.

I might have to give it to Civil War, but Infinity War and Logan are pretty much right up there as well. Ragnarok and TDKR aren't far behind. It's crazy to think that until about six years ago when TDKR came out, the third installments in superhero trilogies always dropped the ball.

Infinity War, Ragnarok, and Civil War are my 3 favorites, and in that order. Honorable mention to The Dark Knight Rises and Logan.

Man this is some tough competition. Probably have to go: Logan, Civil War, Ragnarok.

Can't deem Infinity War a true third part since it's only really half the story.

For me, Logan while being a 3rd Wolverine solo film, it hardly feels like a 3rd film in a trilogy. Logan kind of feels like it's own separate movie from everything else. Heck, the continuity within the film itself I find basically impossible to reconcile with the events of the other movies. It's a fantastic film, though. Definitely one of my favorite CBMs. I just have a hard time calling it the end of a trilogy.

The Wolverine "trilogy" (if it can even be called that) is notable for it's wide range in quality. The first movie is the definition of terrible, the second movie is the definition of mediocre, and the third is great.

1. Infinity War

2. Thor: Ragnarok/Logan

3. Civil War

4. TDKR

5. Iron Man 3

Which is usually the reverse of how a lot of trilogies go, for the most part.

Logan gets my vote.

Wow. This one is really hard!

Probably give it to Logan... though by the merest of slivers.
