Katsuro, I agree for the most part, but there are definately some hot goth chicks that aren't so bad...maybe .07% or so though :P

Dabadguy, I agree here as well too haha. No room for some nasty opposite of eye-candy imo. And I'm sorry but that whole "Judge someone by their personality and not looks" is something ugly people tell themselves to feel better. No offense.

That said, Betty HAS to be Candace...they definately wouldnt add some lepur to the cast. Maybe they'll show her true face in an episode for a few minutes, but nothing more than that I'd think. Man September can't get here soon enough!

Candace has never displayed the ability to affect others. If she could do that, why wouldn't she conceal Micah when they went into the voting booth?

Like Micah said, Candace can bend light around herself. This chick is something else.

Candice has affected others... as in her own appearance on every show. Her ability is to affect what others see. She affected Micah when he could not run out of the room, she affected Noah when he thought she was his wife, and Niki when Niki could not hear Micah yelling for her until Candice was knocked out.

So I think making a girl think pimples were all over her face, falls under Candice's abilities.

This power seems to be more like mystique. it could be candance, but it probably wont be. One reason is to me that when nikki punched out candace in the last episode, candace didn't revert back to a fat, ugly chick. That's my reason and leads me to believe they are to different people, but similar characteristics.

Or what about when she made Simone's body disappear while the cops were there?

Or what about the ENTIRE FLOOR OF HALLWAYS AND ROOMS that she made Micah see when he was trying to escape.

Simone's body, which falls under anyone else's appearance, was not there because of Candice's power.

Lets just say then that betty and candace are two completely different people. Betty has a power to alter her own appearance a la Mystique. Candace has a power to alter the perception of others, similar to Scarlet Witch. I think the writers would not want us, the viewers and readers to be confused with characters with a confusing storyline, name changes are rare in comics because then the readers would be like wtf. Betty does not equal Candace, similar maybe, but two distinct persons.

Seriously, i'm telling you right now, 100%, Betty is Candice. I'm seriously confused that it's not obvious from the beginning. Name changes are rare? This comic opened with her saying she hates her name. COME ON!!!

Candice's power has always been to affect what other people see. There's been no limit to whether or not she could affect other people. Either she bends light, or telepathically alters their perceptions, but both would allow for what we've seen her do on the show, and what she did in this comic.

Seriously, people. Betty is Candice. There's no possible doubt about it in my mind.

Tim Kring was asked about that in an interview. He suggested that maybe she's so used to holding onto that form that it's subconcious. He also suggested she might have not been fully unconcious, and still a little bit awake.

But still, we know Candice doesn't look like what we see. Too many hints that she's a fatty for it not to be true.
