The Dark Knight Biggest Disappointment

Though it does sound cool, it wouldn't really look great seeing how he would have to be make-up-less. The Joker vibe just wouldn't come off so well. But I guess it could work, depending on how shadowy it is and if all we would see would be his smile. That would be somewhat creepy.

To be honest I think he looks just as if not more sinister without make-up. I mean, that quick shot of him as he fired the rifle looked awesome.

***spoilers***

For me, I didn't like that fact that the batpod moment when he first used it was killed by the stupid kids in the car pretending to shoot at the blockade of cars and that bats happens to blow them up.

I truly died a little inside plus I mean you have all this hype in the theater "omg it's the ****ing batpod finally! zomg and he's chasing the joker" and then they kill it with the random kids.

Mainly that was my problem.

My small personal issues: Twoface just got so annoying in the end *****es about how life sucks - yeah it does suck, look at heath, he's gone.
I *personally* just found him so annoying with the whinning, yes I know he lost rachel and his face is messed up, but he was just so annoying. >.>
I'm sorry I hate whinners lol.

I was upset hugelyish that Heath's (and the stunt guy) memoriam wasn't at the beginning of the credits - people left this time (this was my 2nd time seeing it along with the advanced showing) and didn't even bother...

Lastly, and this isn't a problem, but I just found the joker's final speech said about batman and him doing this forever - I cried, it's so very ironic..
Heath had so much promise, but was snatched all away.

Good point. Thinking about it, it would be pretty interesting to see The Joker without make-up in Arkem. See the madness of the man himself and all. I would kinda think that even locked up, he would find some odd ball way to paint his face. Like chipping paint from his cell and making a paint paste or something.

my disappointment was that scarecrow seemed less crazy than BB, and thats about it. and i wish it was longer it left me wanting more big time, the movie impresed my brother which is hard to do.

I wonder if he'd go so far as to use his own blood for the red smile.

My only disappointment is that Heath is no longer with us, whether or not they would have brought the character back either way doesn't matter. Talk about a beautiful talent..."we are destined to do this forever" :(

Yeah that was it for me too. I felt bad at the end, when his name in the credits came and we applauded, and I realized that it was it.... no more Heath Joker in a future movie cameo or whatever, and that Heath did not get to see this awesome movie, and that he would not continue his career and win an Oscar, perhaps.

But oh did he deliver the goods and made everyone respect him....

There were no disappointments for me. I loved the entire movie. However, in the ending when Two-Face is flipping the coin to decide whether or not to kill Gordon, I was expecting Batman to do the classic 'throw a handful of coins' to ruin his mind, and bring ihm back down to earth. However, I kind of figured they weren't going for that approach, and I was fine with what came out.

It's The Joker, of course he'd go that far. Hell, he'd go so far as to make sure he gets someone elses blood too.

Damn.. that really would make for an awesome shot. Hunched over with his face mostly in shadow, and you can just make out a tip of red.

Bale's Batman voice.

That Gordon didn't give Batman at least a five minute start before he called it in. The man gets shot and saves your son and you can't give him five minutes?

only thing i didn't like was that katie holmes didn't play rachel dawes
besides that, the movie was amazing

Yeah I did

I'm just not looking at it through fan boy colored glasses. I can actually be a Batman fan and be objective.

Agreed wholeheartedly ..........

I also agree that the film was rushed.

You have to wonder how much they actually left out of the film to get to that 2 hours and 32 minutes .

In a Tarantino World TDK would've been made in 2 parts just like Kill Bill.

THE END of it WANT MORE MORE MORE.... i thought we would hav seen joker at end of credits in straight jackit or sumthin laughing away as he got took to Arkham Asylum or sumthing like that...

That would have been badass. Joker being dragged down the hall of Arkham Asylum in a straight jacket to his room, laughing like crazy.

Bale's Batman voice for me at the end got really annoying...

The fight scenes seemed ALOT more coreographed than Batman Begins...

They didnt rush the "Harvey/Two Face" story, but at the same time, the job Heath Ledger did with the Joker made me wish they really had ALOT more of him on screen...

oh and bales batman voice got really bad, i liked it in begins but this time it was just him slurring words together and i coulndt understand his speech at the end to the joker

The reason it sounded that way was because he was...acting. A novel concept, I know. But during those points and during the final interaction with Gordon and Two-Face he had just endured things like being beaten with a metal pole, the Joker sitting on top of him with said pole on his neck, hauling ass to the scene where Gordon and Two-Face were and then falling several stories and landing on his back. A guy (yes, even Batman) would be pretty worn out at that point. So, he made him sound exhausted and short of breath.

Exactly. I dunno why no one seems to get this.

This Isnt Really A Disapointment But Am I The Only One That Notices That In This Movie There Was No Mention Of Arkham Or Even The Narrows.considering How Much Bb Did To Set That All Up

They did mention Arkham. The guy Two-face was interrogating; Batman gave Harvey a rundown of his profile, and said he was an inmate of Arkham.

Yeah I noticed that too, but when you think about it the only time we might've seen Arkham was Crane getting taken in. Other than that, Joker was wreaking too much havoc for anyone to worry about Arkham.

My only disappointments were Bale's voice and the extremely short Scarecrow cameo.

I was really hoping Bale's voice would have improved with the new Batsuit, but alas it only became worse.

Mine was the death of Two-Face. I liked him almost as much as the Joker, to be honest. I fully understand that his arc was closed that way, and a lot of the film's focus was around him (so he wasn't Venom-ized), but still, I hate the fact that he is gone for good now. They just ran out of villains for the future sequel/s (if, of course there will be any), because, well - Ra's is dead, Two-Face is dead, the Joker is alive, but the actor is dead and shouldn't be replaced, and the Scarecrow is alive, but he is so small-time that he just can't be taken as a serious threat anymore.
So what now? The Riddler? Yeah, he can fit just right in Nolan's world, but he just ain't that dangerous, especially after what was done to Gotham by now. Catwoman? Yes, they alluded to her, but she is even less dangerous threat than the Riddler, besides I don't see her being an actual and serious love interest to Bruce after Rachel's death, which takes right away much of her potential as a character. Bane? Sure, he is dangerous enough, I'll give him that, but having him in a sequel would be kinda repeating the thing with the Joker - the mob hires a dangerous freak to deal with Batman once and for all. I don't see any other way he can be introduced. The others are just either too fantastical (Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Ivy, Man-Bat) or too small and unworthy to hold a movie on their own (Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Firefly).

Besides, I find the irony of the fact that the Joker (as a character) survived and was locked up in Arkham, but Ledger is dead and there is no way to replace him, IMO, while Two-Face (as a character) died, but Eckhart probably would've had no problems to return if his character survived quite annoying.
