Hello sequel to Snatcher we never got....

[YT]DtfKb6xkW-A[/YT]

Yeah.... I don't remember Snatcher being a third-person shooter.

I don't even remember it...because I never actually played it. Explain this analogy.

'I, Robot' the game? :awesome: But seriously, looks like a toned down Vanquish. I don't think I'll pick it up. Not my cut of tea.

Consequence system.

[YT]2oVE15XzQhg[/YT]

Your squad will react dynamically to your performance, dialogue, and choices. Also, Bioware style, there's some branching paths and romance stuff in the story.

The way your squad reacts to you seems like it could either end up being awesome and make Mass Effect's loyalty system seem like utter **** in comparison, or totally frustrating and make you want to break your controller in half. I'm glad someone is at least attempting something like that, though. I've wanted to see a squad system like this for a long time.

Also, that French robot is pretty awesome. :o

New "Bigger Than You Think" trailer.

Yep, this game looks pretty good.

It does look pretty cool, I'm certainly interested to check it out. The Yakuza team are one of the few teams that I could actually believe when talking about putting a half-decent story into a shooter.

On the flip side, I don't know if they can pull off a half-decent shooter, especially given Of the End/Dead Souls shooting mechanics.

dang almost for got about putting this up.

Take a tour of Binary Domain with Japanese demo on Feb. 1

Sega announced plans to release a Binary Domain demo in Japan on February 1, a date that is sadly not expressed in binary. According to Andriasang's summary of the Kamurocho Radio Station podcast, the demo includes two stages, one in Shibuya's Spain-zaka area, and another in a "Shinjuku Station-like area." Players will be able to test the voice commands.

Sega has yet to announce Western availability for this sample, but with the game out on February 28, we'd expect to see a demo here soon.
and heres a new video as well

If you have Japanese PSN account, the demo for this is up on the Japanese store.

I just played the demo. Gamplay-wise, it's certainly no Vanquish, but it seems serviceable. It has more of a slow, plodding Gears feel to it.

The squad system is cool. It looks like you get to choose who you take with you and it seems like the dialogue options might be dependent on who you pick. I chose the Chinese lady and the American dude. I did't understand anything that was said, but I'm pretty sure at one point the American was asking me what I though of the Chinese woman's ass. I hope I responded correctly.

You didn't get to see any of the "consequence" stuff in the demo, or at least I don't think so. But I still think that could either end up being really cool, or completely ruin the game.

The only thing that I would say is bad, is the UI that pops up when selecting a weapon obscures a huge portion of the middle of the screen. Other than that, the game seems great and I think I'll probably pick it up. Though not right away because my backlog is by far the biggest it's ever been right now.

I previewed this at E3 and I liked it. I mean it wasn't perfect, but the controls were good and I liked the third person shooter element mixed with squad tactics.

I think the shooting and combat mechanics work really well. I also really like the visual style and cyber-punk themes of the story. Anyway here's the preview write-up I did from E3:

Binary Domain Multiplayer Trailer Features Opposing Forces

SEGA has shot us in the face with a new Binary Domain trailer today, showing off the game's multiplayer modes, which pits the opposing forces of the Government and the Resistance against one another on the robot-strewn battlefields of the year 2080.
Taking the action from the city to the slums, Binary Domain includes such staple multiplayer modes as Demolition, Data Capture, Team Deathmatch, Domain Control, Team Survival, Operation and Invasion that allow you to go free for all or play by the rules, according to the trailer.
The best weapon is being human, apparently. Check out the video for a look at Binary Domain's multiplayer, then look out for the game when it launches on February 24th in Europe and February 28th in Europe.

Binary Domain Demo Coming on February 15th

SEGA has announced that a demo for its future-shock robot shooter, Binary Domain will be on its way to download later this week.
Offering two early missions taken from the Rust Crew's campaign set in 2080 Tokyo, you'll get to test out the game's consequence system playing as Dan Marshall, whereby helpful squad actions gain trust and foolhardy actions that put your team in danger lose you trust.
You'll be able to grab the demo from February 15th, giving you ample time to sample Binary Domain ahead of its February 24th launch date in Europe and February 28th release in North America.
