well the clash in the cloud DLC is out today so this will be cool.

So the greatest game of all time just got a little bit greater.

According to Levine there's no combat in the first half of Booker's Burial DLC. A bit ballsy to do with paid content, but I always thought the parts where you sort of get to poke at the world were the best parts.

Sounds neat. The waves based fighting stuff doesnt sound appealing but the Rapture detective story? Awesome.

The fighting is really awesome. Actually very difficult as well

Just threw in first bioshock because of the rave reviews and took it out immediately. You can say I lack maturity but I don't want to hear racial slurs when I play games. Hear that crap enough in real life

Being a black person my self(who has been called the N word a number times in my face and has been beaten elementary too and has had his parent still have what they explained what happened to them them selves with where lived ) and with relatives that are mixed most of my cousins, I don't blame you, but I think ken Levine mentioned it was a social issue they were exploring for a reason in article prior to this games release to show how wrong it was in a way, back then in that time period.

But I understand your reasons. The first game is still awesome. Enjoy.

I can understand the desire to not encounter said social calamities in the entertainment medium. Having said that, Levine used it to critique the period in question and the modern. Interestingly enough, I was asked to summarize Bioshock Infinite to a friend, the other week, and I said, "Imagine what would happen if the Tea Party ran Disneyland."

Yikes you need a change of scenery of you hear that all the time in real life

Should I even bother trying to play this game now with the news of this announced DLC or is there a chance this will get a GOTY edition? Im in no rush to play. I guess I could go and try Dishonored in the meantime

They're both likely to have a GOTY edition. That's up to you if you want to wait that long though.

I got it, I think story-wise it's one of the best games I've ever played. The fights are a little meh sometimes but overall I love it. I'll be getting the story based DLC as well. I also got it for 1/2 off so there's that too.

The DLC looks awesome. A film noir detective story in Rapture with Booker as the private eye and Elizabeth as the femme fatale. I didn't really expect them to go that route at all and I wonder how it will fit in with the narrative in the main game.

Well the Burial at Sea DLC sounds like it's a long ways off, at least 6 months, before both episodes are up. The game is very complete without DLC though, the DLC sounds like a completely different story. Dishonored is about to release it's third DLC, so there's likely a GOTY edition of that coming too. Really depends, I'd get Bioshock now and wait for the Dishonored GOTY, it'll be out sooner than Bioshock's.

I mean, is there any doubt that there will be a GOTY with the DLC? It's a pretty standard practice nowadays. The only way I see this being different is that the DLC came out a long ways off, but I doubt that'd matter.

I ask bc I don't think Bioshock 2 had one at least until right before Infinite dropped. I almost feel like if I don't play it (and many other current gen games now) the likelihood that I will once I get a PS4 will drop immensely.

Well I'm looking forward to Burial at Sea. So I'm guessing this is one of the parallel universes where Booker is part of Rapture? I totally dig that. Plus, I've always wanted to experience Rapture as an actual utopia before it went to hell. Throw that in with a detective noir story and I'm in.

I guess it's what you consider priority then and what will be cheaper for you in the long run. and what you are sure what you have time for.

oh yeah that will be interesting. story wise I'll wait for more info. maybe he entered another weird rift and you just experiences that life there. ether way can't wait to play it.

man.......I just traded this in, too. :(

oh, well, maybe come Black Friday or XMAS time, I can snag a good deal on this and then get the Rapture DLC when it comes out.

but a GOTY edition would be nice, too.

Well, they were offering a season pass on day one confirming there'd be three pieces of DLC. Kind of the whole point of season passes/DLC, to discourage people from sellng their games.

Burial at Sea definitely sounds good to me--I'm wondering if it will have more Columbia-ish elements to it (especially the skyhook, seems too good to just abandon for the dlc) since it's no doubt an alternate Rapture than in Bioshock 1 or 2.

[blackout]You think noir-Elizabeth will pop up at the end of the main campaign with this? I can't imagine it would be hard to fit her in to the final scene.[/blackout]

On a separate note, it's cool to see plasmids used for their original purposes, hope there's more of that in the non-combat parts of the DLC.

I'm not realy sure where the skyhook would fit in in Rapture, the whole idea for the skyhook was for the skylines, that aren't a part of Rapture. In fact the very enclosed nature of most of Rapture would make it very problematic to use that. Really don't see the reason for it.

Underwater, maybe? But then it wouldn't exactly be terribly fast, so...

Think they'll put in [blackout]Songbird's corpse[/blackout] towards the end as an easter egg?

Prob just me but Liz's voice sounds different in the DLC trailer, more mature. Is it the same actress?
