Bioshock Infinite

I'll get it sometime later. I would like to play it but I have enough of a backlog. :p

Well, I've heard it's only got 3 hours on gameplay and that's heavily exploring the DLC. Kind of disappointed it's so short, but I already got the Season Pass, so it's paid for.

So far the main criticism ive seen is that its just not fully realized enough which is sad to hear . Hopefully the critiq and the new elizabeth gameplay for part 2 will spur them on to go all out the next go around

I just finished Burial at Sea. 3 or so hours. Didn't get all the audio logs and such.

That ****ing ending. O_O

Wow. I mean wow.

I was a bit confused at how this Comstock was in existence but apparently in a eurogamer ending analysis with Levine he stated that because this one was in a Rapture verse he escaped the effects and this was her cleaning up.

I am wondering what the heck episode 2 is going to be about.

So this confirms that Elizabeth survived the ending of Infinite intact. I wonder if episode 2 is going to end with her giving post credits Booker Sally.

That was a pretty great twist, I was expecting it to be centered around Elizabeth instead.

I'm guessing since one Comstock escaped the effects of the main story, Elizabeth is going to be hunting down the remaining ones in part 2 and exterminating them? That's pretty cool if so. Loved the callback to the original Bioshock trailer with how this DLC ended, too.

And I see we will be having a quote fest of spoilers then. :p

I guess I'll have to get it soon to see them.

Just thought you'd all appreciate this.

In regards to Burial did anyone else feel

a little bad for this version of Comstock?

Oh my God, I just beat BaS Part 1. That ending....

= What was the goal this time? Was this Comstock supposed to take that Booker's child like he did Elizabeth, but accidentally killed her? I assume we'll get all the answers in Part 2, but oh man was that good.

So will BaS Part 2 be the last of the DLC, or do you think we'll end up with some other stories in another season pass possibly?

Oh wow, so I just watched a playthrough to see what I missed in BaS Part 1, and no kidding, I played the whole thing and never got Shock Jockey or Bucking Bronco. Dunno how I missed them but I completely passed over the places to get them.

Yeah I never got the Bucking Bronco. There's actually a decent amount of side nooks and crannies to explore that do up the DLC time. I saw some people finishing it in an hour mainly by following the critical path.

Yeah in his reality Booker pulled back a bit harder which led to more of Anna being on his side when the portal closed, unfortunately not enough.

From what Levine said it looks like Elizabeth in this one just wanted to engineer a situation where she could inflict the most emotional pain on this Comstock as possible before killing him in revenge for his role in that Anna's death.

Havent played any DLC yet, does Booker FINALLY get it on with Elizabeth?

Bout damn time

The finale of Burial at Sea reminded me of this...

How the character is grabbing the little sister is similar to Booker trying to grab at Sally. And of course, the final part of the trailer where the character is impaled by the Big Daddy is exactly how Booker died in Burial at Sea.

I really liked it. It took me two and half hours to beat.

Just started playing Burial at sea, picked up the season pass because why not? It's $15 for Bas and you get the rest as well.

I haven't played any of the Bioshock games, and tend to prefer to play multiple-game series in chronological order unless there's a compelling reason not to, so I was wondering if my experience with the series overall would be in any way impacted negatively if I were to buy and play Bioshock Infinite before buying and playing Bioshock and Bioshock 2.

Thoughts?

Gameplay is superior to Bioshock 1 and 2, that's pretty much the only downside. Also Bioshock 2 was done by a different creative team, just so you know.

I don't generally mind if games that are chronologically AFTER a particular game but were developed BEFORE said game have 'lesser quality' gameplay, because I'm generally interested more in the story than in the gameplay anyway.

Bioshock 1 is lots of fun. It has an amazing story and it handles well. It's a bit stiff compared to later games but still easy to pick up and go. The entire series has similar controls so besides a bit of remapping between games it's similar.

You can get B1 fairly cheap or get the two pack for under $20. 2 is a direct sequel to 1 where Infinite is... not. I found 2 to be the least of the three. I didn't find it was as well done as 1 in most aspects.

You don't have to play the first two as the story isn't really connecting to BI but sometimes there is references or information that you may not get if you haven't played them. Nothing that would ruin the story, just little things.

If you only want to get one, get Infinite. If you want to spend a bit more, get the two pack of the first two with it. Bioshock 1, even if you know the twist, is still a great ride. B2, kinda, but not so much. Infinites' story is crazy and amazing. I was blown away and I've played it multiple times. The DLC that just came out is a separate story (sort of, it's a loooooooooooooong story) but still jaw dropping.

I'll probably buy all 3 at some point, but will probably most likely purchase and play Infinite first. It won't be soon, though, as I just bought 8 new games and am still in the process of playing them and will be for a while yet.

Playing through Infinite again after finishing the BaS dlc. Lots of fun. The DLC was weird and unusual. After replaying it I just found ti didn't make tons of sense. Hopefully Ep.2 clears it up.

Edit: I just had the fastest fight ever with the Siren. I kitted up for a melee build and kicked her butt in less than 30 seconds. Usually it's 5_ minutes and multiple deaths.
