I know I’m in the minority but I’m happy we haven’t seen the classic Harley Quinn suit on screen, minus that one shot. It just is something that looks better on paper/animated than on screen.

I do wish they went a little more with Black Canary’s look though. If they were going for the fashionable/street look, this would have been better.

Ive always been a big fan of margots Harley Quinn, despite suicide squad sucking, so it's great to know that it seems like we see getting a fantastic film to go with her performance too.

I can definitely uunderstand that, but it's not the first time people may have disliked the trailers but the film ends up being good.

And the same can be said about people liking the trailer and the movie ends up being bad.

Pointing it out in a negative sense or saying something "despite people not even giving it a chance before it's out" is silly. Everyone judges movies, good or bad off a trailer. If someone can look at a trailer and be hyped, a person can watch a trailer and have a negative reaction. It's an opinion.

I like that my girl Harley was referred to as a "human Looney Tune" that's a massive part of her appeal to a lot of people I think. It is to me anyway.

Yeah that's true. I guess what I was trying to say is that it's nice to see the movie seems to be turning out to have a positive reaction overall.

Honestly, the trailers and marketing campaign made this look horrible to me. But I’m glad it’s well received. perhaps it’s just a case of good movie, bad marketing.

I'm one of the few who liked these trailers and didn't like the WW84 trailer. No where near as good as the first trailer for the original Wonder Woman to me.

Let’s be real, plenty of people wrote this off the second it was announced.

I personally have enjoyed the marketing though, and if it’s reflective of the actual movie, then I’m sure I’ll have a good time.

Yes, BoP in general has fans, but obviously there are people out there who weren’t giving it a chance like he said. And some of those even consider themselves BoP fans who were just mad about Harley’s involvement or the lack of Barbara or whatever (and a few from another camp were just obviously dismissive of it being a “girl group“ movie). I saw plenty of people convinced (for whatever reason) it would be utter trash before a single frame was shot. So I don’t see what’s wrong with anyone pointing that out.

I admit I hardly pay attention, but I dont remember RT putting out info early.

With the budget the film has, I dont think anything is going to stop this movie from being a success. Hell even if it is moderately successful here I get the feeling abroad it will do quite well. (gut feeling)

If I had to hazard a guess...somewhere around $400 million worldwide on its $97 million budget.

I actually think all the Birds of Prey I read pre-dated Gail Simone.

I didnt read a ton of BOP but I want to say it was mostly Amanda Conner. When Gail was writing the All New Atom (post Infinite Crisis) though it was one of the best reads out there along with her Secret Six. She does weird character stuff better than most
