I mean I'm not reading them. Some of the critics who saw the movie early and shared some thoughts on Twitter warned us. They all agree that it's impossible to talk about the movie without getting into spoiler territory. No can can help it even if they're trying not to reveal key info regarding the movie's contents.

F**k yeah. I told ya'll. Warner Bros. marketing team strikes again. The times I've tracked the online sales, BR2049 has surprisingly done very well. Nao let's see if BR2049 can get close to Dunkirk (50.5 million OW). That'll be an amazing result.

I was thinking of watching the first one again, this just gives me all the more reason. It's been a while.

Gravity and The Martian were original works not aided by fanboy frenzy which is definitely working in favor of BR2049 atm. So (54-55) million stills seems a bit too optimistic to say right nao. Plus the premium 3D ticket pricing helped Gravity a great deal to achieve the best Oct OW ever. But the latest tracking update comes before the embargo was lifted for the full reviews so there's still a solid chance that the good/great reviews will further amplify the pre-release hype and drive up the sales. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the best result.

I haven't been this excited for a film since the TDK trilogy lol.

In an interview with Al Arabiya, the filmmaker is diplomatic, praising Jóhannsson’s talent — he has worked with him on “Prisoners,” “Sicario” and “Arrival” — but essentially saying that ultimately he wasn’t the right fit for “Blade Runner 2049.”

“The thing I will say is that making movies is a laboratory. It’s an artistic process. You cannot plan things. Jóhann Jóhannsson is one of my favorite composers alive today. He’s a very strong artist,” Villeneuve said. “But the movie needed something different, and I needed to go back to something closer to Vangelis.
Johan and I decided that I will need to go in another direction—that’s what I will say. I hope I have the chance to work with him again because I think he’s really a fantastic composer.”

I was watching the Collider Spoiler-free review and Perri mentions that Sylvia Hoeks was a scene stealer in that film. Just having a look at her makes me think that Denis should bring her into his Dune adaptation to play Lady Jessica. Just my $0.02.
